God does His deepest work in us in our darkest hour. The Lord calls us to Himself. He speaks life and strength into our hearts. He assures us of His love and presence. He guides and leads us with His love.
When we emerge from the fiery furnace, what remains is the purity of Christ. We are mindful that He rules and reigns in our lives.
The suffering and pain strip us to the barest state. We lift up our eyes and see the power and love of God. We see God's mercy and grace. We taste the goodness of God.
Lord, do a deeper work in us. We want more of You. No one can quench our thirst. No one can satisfy our hungry. Only You. You alone satisfy our deepest longings. You alone are our sole desire.
Order our desires. Direct our paths. Smoothen the rough places. Bring us to a spacious place. Bring us to Your living streams. Immerse us in Your mighty river.
