God has Blessed me with Monte

Monte gave me a surprise birthday party two days ago. I am so blessed with a wonderful husband. He planned for the event two months ago. I shared openly with the people present at my home last night that Monte has been a loving and supportive husband. I battled with depression since I was a young single adult. I had gone through several bouts of depression in my lifetime. God's mercy and grace saw me through each episode. It was never easy for Monte. He kept praying, loving, caring and supporting me through it all. I love and appreciate him deeply.

I thank God for family and friends who made my birthday so memorable. The Lord graced us with His sweet presence. 😊

The River of Your Spirit

In the face of a raging storm

The Balm of Gilead

In mid March 2013, I discovered a lump at the base of my neck near the collar bone. It was hard and it did not look good. 

I went to the doctor and the ultrasound showed a nodule measuring about 2 cm in diameter. In the meantime, blood tests were done and I was scheduled to see the specialist in the Singapore General Hospital at a later date. 

It was tough for me because of the heavy use of my voice in vocal and enrichment training. At times, I had difficulty projecting my voice. When I yawn, it was hurting too. 

I had difficulty singing and praying. Oftensomes, Monte had to be ready to take over in the middle of prayer. God is merciful.

Monte and I continued to pray for the Lord's healing and grace.

One day, I discovered to my amazement that the lump was gone. Monte and I were elated. We cannot understand why and where it had gone. 

All we know was that God had come through for us. The Lord healed me. Jesus is the balm of Gilead. 

 

God performs mighty miracles. His healing power flows through our broken bodies. The balm of Gilead cruises through our broken bodies.

Lord, have mercy on us! Empower and strengthen us to believe You for a miracle. The Lord inspires faith in our hearts to see the miraculous.

He Covers Us with His Love

In His love, the Lord heals and restores us. He binds our wounds. He brings healing and wholeness.

The Lord beckons us to run to Him. We find comfort and rest in His presence. He covers us with His love.  

God brings beauty out of ashes. He brings light in our darkness. He brings hope in our desperation and hopelessness. 

We feel the strength of His love. We know the might of His strength. His love is enough to carry us through every circumstance. 

As we allow Him to flow through our feebleness and weakness, His strength and might overpower us. He is our strength when we are weak.

Lord, we are eternally grateful for all You have done for us. Our limited vocabulary is incapable to fully express our gratitude to You.

Touch our broken lives. Let our lives bring glory and honour to Your name. Let Your presence flood our hearts as we worship You.

He Understands our Pain and Agony

If anyone asks me if I know what depression is, I will say ‘Yes’. I have gone through depression at different times. The recurring depression is devastating. I know the pain, agony, anguish, helplessness and despair that depression brings. I am able to identify and share my experiences because the Lord has helped me in my utter desperation and despondency. Only His love can lift me up from valley so deep.

Jesus understands our pain and suffering deeply. He was betrayed, physically and emotionally hurt, flogged, despised, abandoned, scourged, forsaken and died a cruel and excruciating death on the cross. He went through unimaginable suffering and pain. He does not leave us in despair. He is the only one who can sooth our gnawing pain. He is the only one who can dispel our paralyzing fear. He brings wholeness to us, Spirit, Soul and body. The balm of Gilead is offered to all who needs His miraculous healing power, flowing from the cross of Calvary. As we remember the suffering of Jesus on the cross, our hearts well up with thanksgiving for His great and enduring love.

Consistently Good

God is consistently good. He never falters nor fails. He is fully reliable and dependable. Loving and serving Jesus is our main priority. Being recipients of His abundant grace opens the door for us to live through the glory of His grace.

A couple of months ago, I developed severe cough and sore throat due to some medication I was on. In the meantime, I had ongoing enrichment and vocal training which were drastically affected. It was disturbing as the cough and sore throat went on for several weeks. The doctor I was seeing was trying to ascertain if it was due to a reaction to the medication. Monte and I prayed and believed for the Lord’s healing. To cut the long story short, I have fully recovered.

This experience left me with overflowing gratitude for God is so good. During that time, I was able to honour every training session I have committed myself to. His grace is always sufficient. His resources never run dry. He picks us up from every inconceivable valley, strengthens and empowers us to climb another mountain with Him.

The Balm Of Gilead

Not long ago, a Christian brother who traveled in and out of Vietnam for ministry shared about the miraculous healing of an 84 year old woman. God healed her of her deafness and blindness. The balm of Gilead, our great physician outshines the best medical doctor on earth. Repeatedly, doctors and experts in the medical field cannot fathom how their patients recovered when all the odds were against them. At other times, terminally ill patients outlived the time that they were given. God is great, He is above every sickness and disease. The wonder working power of God is at work right at this moment. His glory, grace and mercy flows from Him unceasingly. Great is the Lord!
