Divine Providence

Monte and I are blessed to journey with the Lord in this amazing journey.  He teaches us to lean on His strong arms.  He pours His grace on us lavishly.  As we look back at all that God has brought us through, all we could do is to bow in humble reverence to His unfailing love.  He is mighty, awesome and indescribable.

We experience His divine providence daily.  Down the corridoor of time, He reveals His constant and undying love for us.

Back in early 1999 when we were preparing for our wedding.  I remember vividly how we called out to the Lord, listing the many needs we have.  The Lord provided miraculously for us.

In 2001, we were praying for God to provide us the funds to renovate and furnish our new flat in Sengkang.  God provided for every need.  He shows us His divine providence again and again.

We serve a great and mighty God.  As we continue to love and serve Him.  He pours more of Himself on us.  His ever increasing love and presence wash over us, renewing and refreshing us.  We bow in humble adoration.  We proclaim His majesty and power.  All honour and glory be unto our God.  He deserves our highest praise.

Blessed

This morning, Monte has left for the States to deliver a paper at the Society of Pentecostal Studies conference and visit our family.

Our hearts are overwhelmed with gratitude for all the Lord has done.  He provided for us miraculously.  He is the miracle working God.  He has blessed us beyond our wildest imagination.  There is absolutely nothing He cannot do.  We lack nothing in Him.

Our hearts go out to everyone who has blessed us through your giving, prayer and encouragement.  Thank you so much for standing with us all these years.  We bring you before the Lord and ask the Lord to bless you abandantly.  Thank you for journeying with us as we love and serve God and His people.

Our God is ever faithful.  He is our covenant making and covenant keeping God.  He births His dream into our hearts and work wonders in our broken lives.  We declare His goodness and His greatness.  We proclaim His majesty, power and glory. 🌈

Merciful Lord

You have directed Your ravens to bring us food. You provide for our every need. Thank You for Your gracious providence.

God of wonder. God of miracles. God of might. How can we live without You. Your miraculous provision speaks of Your divine love. Your mercy reigns.

Open our hearts to receive. Open our eyes to see. Open our ears to hear the voice of Your Spirit. We need You desperately. Come and rescue us. Come and deliver us. We put our complete trust in You.

You are faithful and true. You are fully dependable. You are unchanging. Who is like unto You. You the strength of our hearts. We lean on You. Our hope is in You all day long. You are our Maker, our Redeemer and Lord.

Two is Better than One

Monte and I were married in March 1999.  I am so blessed to share all these years with Monte. He loves, encourages, supports and cares for me deeply.  Love gets richer when we allow the Lord to nurture and bless our marriage.  Two is better than one.  I love Monte with all of my heart.

God has brought us to the mountain tops and the deep valleys.  Deep sorrow mingled with great joy.  Breakthroughs mingled with set backs.  Failures mingled with success.  Release mingled with pain.

All we see is the faithfulness of the Lord.  We see miracles.  We feel His leading and guidance.  We see His hand of love.  All that matters is to see His hand at work in our life.  The many challenges propel us to lean on the Lord more than before.  We have unanswered questions and situations that are tough; we have things that we are still grappling.  We allow God to speak into our life and circumstances.  We embrace the loving purposes of God. We will not go anywhere He is not leading us.  He is our rock, our fortress and our only hope.

Divine Providence

Monte and I were at the Ministers' Institute cum Retreat (MIR) in Malacca, Malaysia, from 21 - 24 November, 2016. Our stay in Holiday Inn was wonderful.
Our friends, B and M (a christian couple), have graciously paid for me to attend this retreat. I am deeply indebted to their kind generosity and help.
Time and again, God has shown His goodness and faithfulness to Monte and I. We are humbled and thankful for His providence and grace. The Lord's unending mercy is new every morning. His unfailing love never fails. Our hearts rejoice for He is exceedingly good. God has blessed us beyond our wildest imagination.

Great is the Lord

We are limited; we are bound by space and time. Even the smartest among us have their limits. God is limitless, ageless, boundless, matchless and great. When God speaks into the depths of our hearts, things that were once impossible and not achievable suddenly brim with possibility. Our hearts overflow with hope and optimism. Our hearts leap with joy. We cannot contain all that God is doing. The awesomeness and glory of God spur us on to trust God for the impossible. He leads us to tread on uncharted water. From faith to faith, He empowers us to see the miraculous as His glory fills the earth.

Grant us Courage

It takes courage to do what God puts on our hearts. It takes courage to step into the water. It takes courage to keep on going on.

God works on our behalf. We see His miraculous work unfold before our eyes. We see miracles. We see His power. We see His glory.

God opens the floodgates of heaven and pours His spirit on us. We begin to see, and hear and understand the heart of God.

God unleashed His anointing on us. He challenges us to take another step of faith. As we step out in obedience, God empowers and anoints us.

We place our complete trust in Him. We allow the Lord to lead us to places that we never imagined going.

God pours His spirit on us. We set our faces like flint before Him. When we are deeply rooted in Him, no storm can overcome us.

We declare His faithfulness. Our sovereign God rule and reign. He is matchless. He is unparalleled. He deserves all the praises in our hearts.

Miracle Working God

In August, we received word from the Society of Pentecostal Studies thatMonte's paper has been accepted for the March 2017 Meeting in St. Louis, Missouri, USA.
As next year’s theme is “Pentecostalism and Culture,” Monte's topic is, “Towards a Pentecostal Conscientizing Praxis of Mass Culture Engagement.” Recognising the role Pentecostalism plays towards shaping culture, he will be suggesting from the wells of pentecostal theology, constructive ways for doing so, in dialogue with Roman Catholic approaches. God willing, this will be his fifth presented paper in six consecutive SPS annual meetings.
We are thankful for the opportunity for Monte to serve through this platform that the Lord had sovereignly opened. On the other hand, we do not have the funds to do this. Over dinner this evening, I told Monte that God is going to provide for the upcoming SPS conference. God has challenged us to believe even when we do not see with our natural eyes. He has performed one miracle after another. He shows us that nothing is impossible for Him. This trip is not possible in the natural but God will do a supernatural work.
We marvel at His greatness and providence. As we step out in faith to believe, the Lord reminds us that all we have to offer Him is our five loaves and two fishes and He will multiply. He has blown our minds so many times that our hearts would leap with joy. We serve a mighty God. He knows no bounds. He is limitless, matchless and awesome. As God begins to work, we see our vulnerability and frailty in the light of His greatness. The Lord is greatly to be praised.

Miracle Working God

God has led Monte and I on an amazing journey especially so in light of His opened door to the Society of Pentecostal Studies (SPS) Annual Meetings in recent years.  God has allowed Monte to minister in this little platform; we are deeply grateful to God’s opened door.

Back in 2011, Monte and I received news that the Society of Pentecostal Studies (SPS) had accepted a paper he had earlier submitted for the 2012 SPS Annual Meeting, our hearts leapt with great joy.

We know that the Lord has opened this door.  We know that God is in this. While we were overwhelmed with great joy, our immediate response was that it will take a miracle for Monte to go to Virginia, USA in March 2012 to present his paper.  He was concerned and felt that it was way beyond us.  In the meantime, God overrules, He gave us a quiet assurance and confidence to trust Him for the need.  God would come through for us.

Deep in our hearts, what had transpired was not a small thing; it was a significant move of the hand of God.  God birthed a dream, He birthed a desire to see His wonders and miracles.  He has the all the resources to do the work of the ministry.

Subsequently, in the following four years, God provided miraculously for Monte to attend more SPS conference in four other different parts of the States.  The last being the one at St Dimas in Pasedena.  In this last trip, God provided for me to join Monte.  As Pasedena is a four hour drive, we visited our family in Fresno, California.  This was my first time visiting the family and also my the first time I stepped onto US soil.  For the first time in my life, I held snow in my hand.  God is so good to us.  We had a fruitful time at SPS conference.  We also had a wonderful time with our family.

Since Monte started going to the SPS meetings, we knew that something had to give.  In the past, every once in a while, we would take short trips to neighbouring Malaysia or Batam in Indonesia.  We enjoyed every trip we took.  Since Monte embarked on the SPS conference involvement, we did not have any funds for a break.  In my heart, I longed for a break.  God answered my prayer.  Last June, my brother, Nicholas, blessed me with a short holiday at Legoland, Malaysia.  Along with him, my mum, my niece, Eliska and my brother’s helper, Mimi, we had a memorable holiday.  God is so good.  My limited vocabulary is incapable to describe His goodness and greatness.  His faithfulness reaches to the sky! Hallelujah!
