Someone Cares

Last Sunday morning, the Lord opened the door for Monte (my husband) to minister at Touch Hearts Community Church. We thank God for a great time of ministry and fellowship with the people.

Ministry takes place when we touch someone with the love of Jesus. A couple of months ago while dining at Kopitiam near Buangkok MRT station. We were sharing our table with a Taiwanese lady who married a Singaporean. She was still adjusting to life in Singapore. We learnt that she was staying near us. We chatted for some time and parted ways.

A month or so later, we invited her to our home. She came and we were glad to see her again. A friendship started. She blessed us with a beautiful candle shown in this posting.

The Lord brings people into our paths and He prompts us to avail ourselves to minister. Before we came to the Lord, someone shared the love of Jesus with us. We are where we are today because someone cares.

His Masterpiece

God patiently works on our rough edges. The most refined people on earth will still need to work on different areas on our lives. For some of us, there are bad habits that we have to kick, at other instances; God may be speaking to us about some attitudes that we must change. No one is perfect, the loving hand continue to mould and make us to be what He wants us to be. He wants to present us as His masterpiece; every child of God can shine for the Master when we reflect the light of Jesus.

Travelling Light

We must travel light, especially so in our journey with the Lord. Excess baggage may be worry, insecurities, hatred, anger, rebellion, strife, bitterness. The list goes on. The unnecessary excess baggage does not merely slow us down, it also adds extra burden on this already arduous journey of life. We are not meant to lug them around wherever we go, the Lord wants us to lay our burdens at His feet. He wants us to taste true liberty when we fully submit our life into His loving hands; when we give Him total control so that the life and light of His glory can shine brilliantly through us.

No Other Name

There is no other Name like the name of Jesus. The most glorious and beautiful this world has ever heard. His name is above all other names, His matchless and wonderful name that gives meaning to the reason for our existence. The name that brought peace and hope to a dying generation. We live to declare His great and magnificent name. To Him be glory honour, praise and power.

No Other Name

Above His name, there is no other name
The one who is eternally the same
There is no other name
The first and last
Beginning and the end
He was the king who made the common man His friend
There is no other name
Let every tongue proclaim and sing the name of
Jesus
Magnify and praise the name of Jesus
No other name but Jesus
There's power in the precious name of Jesus
Jesus
Messiah, King of kings and Lord of lords
Jesus

He created all that is with His own hands
And yet the smallest need He understands
There is no other name
The one who said "I am the great I Am
And then He gave Himself the sacrifice for man
There is no other name
Let every tongue proclaim and sing the name of
Jesus
Magnify and praise the name of Jesus
No other name but Jesus
There's power in the precious name of Jesus
Jesus
Forever He shall reign as King of kings
Lord of all and every living thing
From now on we'll worship Him
And praise the name of
Praise the name of
Magnify and praise the name of Jesus
Let's magnify and praise the name of Jesus
No other name but Jesus
There's power in the precious name of Jesus
Jesus
Forever He shall reign as King of kings
Lord of all and every living thing
From now on we'll worship Him
And praise the name of Jesus
Jesus
Magnify and praise of name of Jesus

ISOW - Worship Encounter

Last Saturday, I was blessed to be able attend ISOW (International School of Worship) – Worship Encounter at Marine Parade Christian Centre. It was my third time there. Thank God for the ministry of Brendon and Cathie Clancy. They are a gifted and humble couple.

All throughout the day, what kept coming back to me was not skills, techniques or methodologies. Rather the most important areas are humility, love, team spirit, openness, joyful service, the fruit of the Spirit and even in the area of how worship leaders and team members can help support the pastor. In the nutshell, the sessions were practical. relevant and challenging.

May the Lord continue to bless Brendon and Cathie’s ministry.

Fleeting Life

In the mid 80’s, I was a childcare assistant teacher for about two years. Part of my time was spent at the Kindergarten that was linked to the childcare business. I was supporting a teacher there, a lady in her mid forties. At one point, she fell sick and not long after that she suddenly passed on. She left behind her loving husband and teenage children.

Life is fleeting. We are here today and gone tomorrow. When we look at the life that God gave us, our respond is total abandonment to His will and purpose. We are made to praise and glorify Him. As we give our self to Him in total submission, He brings out the best in us. We are on earth to fulfill our own selfish ambition, we want to trust and obey Him each moment of the day. We want to feel His heartbeat and abide in His glorious presence. We want to follow hard after Him till we reach the end of our journey.

So Adorable

Yesterday morning, before church, we had breakfast at a coffee shop. Along came a man with his cute little dog. I approached him to ask if I could snap a shot of his dog and he agreed. The dog was wearing shoes. It walked so comfortable in those cute little shoes. It was so adorable.

Faithful and True

On Sunday evening, 15 March 2009, Monte (my husband) and I wanted to take some time to pray. We headed to Changi Village. After dinner, we went to the beach, laid down a plastic sheet and spent some time praying there. The beauty that we saw before our eyes that lovely evening captivated our hearts.

We can testify to His faithfulness. The Lord’s hand of love covers, leads and protects us. As our prayer ascends to Him, He reaches out to touch us. He is ever faithful and true.

True Till The End

Today marks the ten years of our marriage. The Lord has blessed me with Monte. The past ten years are the best years of my life. Jesus is the third person in our marriage. He binds us together as one. After living together for ten years, we are still discovering and learning more of each other. Just like pursuing God, we'll never stop discovering and knowing more of Him.

On 28 February 2008, we were invited to my uncle James and his wife, Sandra's 25th wedding anniversary. Uncles James is my mother's younger brother. It was a memorable and heart-warming occasion. Monte had the honour to say a few words at the dinner. In his short speech, he commended uncle James and auntie Sandra for their love, loyalty and faithfulness to each other. Twenty-five years of marriage bringing along with them three wonderful and loving sons; they continue to honour and love each other.

The marriage vow that a man and a woman take is not momentary. It is sacred and binding for God has instituted marriage. Nothing should break this holy union; no sickness, no financial difficulties or any conceivable reason should cause anyone to consider the option of taking a U- turn. In good or bad times, in joy or sorrow, whether we be rich or poor, the vow has to be honoured and upheld. By God's divine grace, we strive to reach the end and stay true to one other. God is the one who builds strong and beautiful marriages. A God fearing and loving couple shines powerfully and magnificently for the glory of His great name.

What Preoccupies Us Consumes Us

As we get to know the Lord more intimately, His abiding presence encapsulates us. What preoccupies us will consume us. As we meditate on Him, we become more like Him. The character of Christ rubs onto us so to speak. Our every waking moment is devoted to all that He desires to do in and through us. We become more sensitive to the voice of His spirit. Beyond our resources, talents or time; He wants our hearts. He wants to commune with us. He wants us to come away to the secret chambers so that He can pour His heart out to us. What an awesome privilege for you and I, common people to be able to come into the King’s chambers to hear His heart. This is enough to overwhelm us because He sought us out while we were yet sinners. He put His robe of righteousness on us and gave us hope and meaning to live. He cleansed our sins so that the enemy of our soul has no power over us. We give Him all the glory, honour and praise.

Never Stop Learning

I enjoy vocal coaching. Thank God for every workshop participant and trainee that He had brought into my path. I have trained people as young as 12 up till the age of 70. These people are from all walks of life, coming from diverse backgrounds. I continue to learn, grow and develop in what God has put into my hands. Like all field of work, I will never stop learning new things because there is so much untapped resources and information available out there. When I am training, I do not think of it as work because I enjoy what I do. Every training session is different because every trainee is different. That is reason why it is so interesting.

The Litmus Test

In our journey with the Lord, He grows our faith. The storms of life may hit us physically but the Lord sustains us mercifully. As long as we focus on the Lord, we are on good ground.

The litmus test of a believer is how he or she responds in a crisis. The determination to pursue God will never be hindered by any circumstance. The strength of God's Spirit is upon all who call on the name of the Lord.

We emerged stronger because God sees us through the fire. He is with us in the raging sea. He is as close as the mention of His name. As we cry out to God, He reaches out to rescue and restore us.

The Lord is our mighty fortress. He is our mighty deliverer. He speaks courage and hope to us in our distress. He leads us on lovingly. When there seems to be no way, the Lord makes a way. He is the Waymaker. He is a miracle working God.

Just Bewildering

Last Friday morning, I brought Mickey out for a walk. Upon reaching the ground level, to my horror, his leash came apart. He started running and I chased him. Meanwhile I got my father to come down. Both of us started to chase after the dog. He was having such a wonderful time and there my father and I were worried sick. He came so close to a road that was quite heavy with traffic. We were so relieved when we finally caught up with him and my father tried to carry him. In a split second, he bit my father's thumb. The bite was quite deep and my father bled profusely. Thank God that the bleeding stopped in about three to five minutes.

It is bewildering, my father is the one who feeds and cleans Mickey daily. He doted on him. Why does Mickey bite him? My father asked Mickey the same question when we went back to the house. Mickey just gazed innocently at my father.

Never The Same

Monte (my husband) and I have gone to Lower Pierce Reservoir umpteenth time. A few evenings ago, we went there again. It is amazing that I never get tired of taking photos because they always turn out so beautiful. Oftentimes, we do not realise the beauty around us if we do not take a moment to soak them in. It is the same reservoir but the sceneries and surroundings take on a different outfit every time so the photos are never the same.

Thank you, Lord, for allowing us to enjoy the glorious beauty of Your creation. You are magnificent and awesome. All creation worships You.

Worthy is the Lamb

We declare that You are worthy. You were slain from the foundations of the earth and You took upon the heavy weight of our sins. He took our sin and shame and clothed us with Your righteousness and holiness. We give You the pre-eminence, we give You all the praises from our hearts. For the Lord, our God is worthy, the Lamb of God who sits upon the throne to rule and reign in all eternity.

Worthy Is The Lamb

Thank You For The Cross, Lord
Thank You For The Price You Paid
Bearing All My Sin And Shame
In Love You Came, And Gave Amazing Grace

Thank You For This Love, Lord
Thank You For The Nail Pierced Hands
Washed Me In Your Cleansing Flow
Now All I Know, Your Forgiveness And Embrace

Worthy Is The Lamb, Seated On The Throne
Crown You Now With Many Crowns
You Reign Victorious
High And Lifted Up, Jesus Son Of God
The Darling Of Heaven Crucified
Worthy Is The Lamb
Worthy Is The Lamb
Worthy Is The Lamb

You Are Worthy Of My Praise

We praise you from the rising of the sun to its going down. Even when the going gets tough, we will not cease from praising You. In good and bad times, You remain faithful and true to us. You are worthy of our praise, You are worthy of all honour and glory. Even the most extravagant praise and worship is insufficient to express the love and gratitude from the depths of our hearts.

You Are Worthy Of My Praise
I will worship with all of my heart
I will praise You with all of my strength
I will seek You all of my days
And I will follow all of Your ways

I will give You all my worship
I will give You all of my praise
You alone I long to worship
You alone are worthy of my praise

I will bow down and hail You as King
I will serve You, give You everything
I will lift up my eyes to Your throne
I will trust You, I will trust You alone

Tasting His Goodness

Everyday is a gift from our loving Father. His goodness and graciousness melt our hearts. Taste and see that the Lord is good. Each encounter with the Lord leaves us longing for more of Him. We can never live without His presence in our life for His love is better than life. He showers His grace and mercy lavishly on us even though we are so unworthy to receive anything from Him. We are wholly and completely His for He has made us to glorify His great name.

Blessing of Friends

Next to family, God has put friends in our lives. The blessing of friends enriches and brightens our lives. Monte's (my husband) friends became mine and vice versa. We thank God for friends who have extended their hands towards us, friends who have spent their precious time with us. We continue to allow God to bring new friends into our lives for we desire to establish lasting friendships that deepen over time.

Not to be Taken for Granted

I accompanied my mother for her routine medical check up of her knees. After consultations with the doctor, we proceeded to the pharmacy.

While we were there, I pointed to some alphabets on a panel and asked my mother to read them out. She started reading without any problem. I was amazed. My mother had very little education. She had always felt that she was disadvantaged due to the lack of education. In her younger days, very few people can afford to put their children to school.
Oftentimes, it is necessary for a teenage or young adult to work to support their poor families.

In Singapore, we are so blessed. Many of us receive education for a good 10 to 15 years. Children from poor families might get scholarships to further their education. Many get bursaries to supplement for their educational needs. The government also tries to help low income families who cannot afford to put their young children through preschool.

We must never take education for granted. Many people in the poorer countries can only dream of what we often take for granted.

More than Able

In these difficult times, some are fearful that they cannot put their children through school. Some are struggling to keep up with their mortgages and loans.

The piling bills are sure to come each month. The household expenses added on to the already heavy financial load. Yet, it is at the time, the Lord challenges us to fix our eyes on Jesus.

He understands our fears and insecurity. He wants us to rely completely on Him because He is more than able to provide for our needs.

Years ago, I read a book by a Christian couple in China. They went to prison for their work for the Lord. While they were in prison, their children were amazed that the rice container never ran out of rice.

God miraculously provided for them. Our almighty God is able to do exceedingly and abundantly above all we can ask or think.

Live Simply

I am thankful that my parents taught me early in life to live within my means. We are an average income family, my parents made sacrifices to support my two brothers and me. When I transitioned from single hood to be married in 1999, Monte (my husband) and I knew the importance of living within our means. This does not mean that we are deprived but rather we live simply. We have never needed to keep up with the Joneses. Happiness and contentment in not in what we possess materially but rather whom we belong to. We belong to the King of the universe who fills us with unspeakable joy. His hope keeps us alive and leaves us yearning for more of Him each day.

Beating Heart

Our hearts cannot contain all that God has given to us. Our hearts overflow with the tenderness of our loving God and Father. A beating heart speaks of the precious life that God allows us to live in. God in His goodness chose to flow through us despite of our imperfections and flaws. His method down the corridors of time is always through man, you and I who are privilege to carry His presence into every nook and corner of this earth. Let our hearts beat stronger for the lover of our soul, nothing will stop us from going deeper into this arduous journey He has laid before us. We see a glimpse of the glory of the risen Lord as we persevere to pursue Him who matters the most in our life.

Character Formation

This morning, I was blessed to spend my time with close to 30 bubbly seven year old children in a school in Queenstown. I was sharing on the topic of caring under the Character Development Programme (CDP). The CDP is an area that schools zero in to help develop children in character formation. The wonderful children were very responsive, bearing in mind that they have just started in the new school setting for the first time in their life in primary one. Their joy and smiles brightened my day.

Back to character development in children, very often well mannered and good children point back to the wonderful work of parents, guardians and caregivers who have painstakingly inculcate good values and attitudes to them. In dysfunctional families filled with bitter fights, boiling anger, physical, emotional and mental abuse, we are bound to produce rebellious and incontrollable children. The reason is simple; we are products of our environment and sphere of influence.

Last November, I was in Speech and Drama training with some eight year old children in a primary school in Circuit Road. A little boy caught my attention shortly upon commencement of the programme, he boldly declared that he was a bully. I was shocked. He was so young and he had accepted the label, which someone had put upon him, or maybe he put it on himself. If no one intervened in that child’s life, he would be heading for a lot of trouble. I looked the boy in the eye and told him that he should stop telling people that he was a bully because there was nothing good about being one. In my limited time there, I tried my level best to assure him that he was a good boy. It will take countless hours of caring teachers, parents, guardians and caregivers to shape the life of this young child but none of us should give up because every child is precious and every child deserves a chance.

The Power Of Release

One day, a teacher wanted to teach the children a lesson on forgiveness. She told her students to prepare a bag and some potatoes. For each hurt, unforgiveness or wrongdoing that came to their minds, they will put one potato into the bag. Very soon, the children’s bags filled up very quickly. Everyday they had to carry their bags wherever they went.

As the days went by, the potatoes began to rot. The weight was unbearable for some let alone the stench of rotten potatoes.

Finally the teacher told them the moral behind this activity. The hurts and unforgiveness do not just affect the children, it soon affected the people around them. The root of bitterness has a way to bring destruction to others and ourselves.

Jesus hung on the cross of Calvary to show us one of the most powerful lessons in life. When we release forgiveness, we do not merely free ourselves. The forgiven party feels the power of release. It is the power of God at work in you and I.  In our strength we may not have the ability to release forgiveness but Jesus enables and empowers us to do so.

Late Bloomers

Monte (my husband) and I are both late bloomers so we are not so quick to write people off. Particularly for children, some may develop at a faster rate at a later stage. For instance, the mental capabilities of a kid may not be fully developed between age of seven to twelve. And then all of a sudden, the kid springs into action in his or her teenage years. Imagine the loss we could have incurred if we are too quick to label them as underachievers. In educating and helping children to grow and develop, we as caregivers or educators need to lovingly guide and help our young people to reach their fullest potential. Every rough stone can be a gem someday.

Beautiful Bloom

On Tuesday, Jan 27, Monte (my husband) and I along with a friend went over to Sentosa for the Sentosa Flowers 2009. It was spectacular. We soaked in the beautiful bloom of pretty flowers of myriad colours, shapes and size.

I have attached a little write up on this amazing event from
http://sentosa.com.sg/events_promotions/events/index.asp#289

“Come celebrate the season of Spring and usher in the Year of the Ox with a kaleidoscope of fresh blooms at the annual floral extravaganza, Sentosa Flowers 2009. Be enthralled by the magnificent displays of unique flowers and soak in the festive mood on the sunny island! For the first time, the floral displays will be making its way down to the white sandy beaches of Palawan, making it a truly Sentosa experience. And when night falls, be mesmerised by the beauty of lit-up flowers under the starry sky. So come on down to Sentosa with your family and friends, and celebrate Spring at this award-winning festival.”

You Are Awesome In This Place

As we focus on the awesomeness and holiness of almighty God, we see His glory, strength and might. We stand in awe of Him who is so perfect and beautiful. In His goodness, He reveals Himself to us in increasing measure as we draw nearer to Him with each passing day. Common people like you and I can come boldly into the awesome presence of God in worship, prayer and adoration.

You Are Awesome In This Place

As I come into Your presence
Past the gates of praise
Into Your sanctuary
Til we're standing face to face
I look upon Your countenance
I see the glory of Your Holy face
I can only bow down and say

You are awesome in this place, Mighty God
You are awesome in this place, Abba Father
You are worthy of all praise
To You our hands we raise
You are awesome in this place, Mighty God

Agapella

Last Christmas, Monte (my husband) and I were so blessed to catch the singing group Agapella at the Esplanade. It was awesome, their beautiful voices blended so amazingly. They even used their voices to produce the sound of drums, trumpets and even animals. They were so talented.

The following is a short description of their beginning from their website at http://www.agapella.net/Agape/About_Us_Beginnings.html

“In Aug 2002, God tapped Sherman Ong a.k.a “our fearless leader” on the shoulder (which explains the occasional dislocations) and gave him the idea to start an a cappella group. Phone calls were made, a meeting was called, and Agapella was born. Some years, many gigs, countless rehearsals, a few alumni, and even a wedding or two later, here we still are: a bunch of people with diverse characters and occupations, from different churches – but united by the desire to lift up God’s name in music.”

After the enchanting performance, Monte and I chatted with one of the singers. We learnt from him that they do minister in churches and sometimes they will support churches in their evangelistic services. The ministry of song and music is a God given ministry that reaches out to the lost and draws believers closer to our God and Father.

Learning From The Little Ones

About a year ago during my Story Telling Programme at a school in Yio Chu Kang, a little boy brought my attention to the existence of the “liger”. I asked the rest of the class and none of them knew about it. I told the little boy that I will try to find it out. I checked with some people but to no avail. The dictionary did not help either.

Recently I found the answer. The liger is a cat born from the breeding of a male lion and a female tiger.

We have much to learn from children. Their eagerness, enthusiasm, sense of awe and wonder, joy, simplicity and quest for learning never fail to challenge me.

Calvary's Love

Calvary's Love

Calvary's love will sail forever
Bright and shining, strong and free
Like an ark of peace and safety
On the sea of human need

Through the hours of all the ages
Those tired of sailing on their own
Finally rest inside the shadow
Cast by Calvary's love across their souls

Calvary's love, Calvary's love
Priceless gift Christ makes us worthy of
The deepest sin can't rise above
Calvary's love

Calvary's love can heal the Spirit
Life has crushed and cast aside
And redeem til Heaven's promise
Fills with joy once empty eyes
So desire to tell His story
Of a love that loved enough to die
Burns away all other passions
And fed by Calvary's love becomes a fire

Calvary's love has never faltered
All its wonders still remain
Souls still take eternal passage
Sins atoned and heaven gained
Sins forgiven and heaven gained

Caring Teachers

The GCE O Level results was released on Jan 12 this year, Catholic High School did extremely well with a third of their students scoring nine A1s in one sitting. The Principal attributed the success to caring teachers. It is interesting to note that the emphasis is not teaching methodology or excellent curriculum but on their teachers who care for the students. They are not concerned about pushing grades; they influence their students by their lives and passion for teaching. Through their concern and care, they create a conducive environment for learning, growing and developing for those under their charge.

Joy Of Learning

On 3rd and 4th of Nov last year, I had the privilege to conduct a Public Speaking cum Hosting workshop in a school in Telok Blangah area. These children were handpicked to be comperes, hosts or emcees in major school events.

I had a bunch of eager beavers. Those nine year old children already had a full day in school and by the time I saw them in the afternoon, I was surprised that they did not show any sign of tiredness. They were raring to go. I was inspired by their enthusiasm and joy of learning.

In the midst of the training, the children had to make presentations in front of the others. When they made mistakes, I kept reassuring them that it was perfectly fine. I told them that they can make all the mistakes they want. They were so relieved. We had so much fun training together. There was so much laughter that day. Deep in my heart, I believe that these children will go very far in their quest of learning.

Rustic Pulau Ubin

On 29th December last year, along with another couple we went to Pulau Ubin and Chek Jawa. You can read more about Pulau Ubin and Chek Jawa at http://visitsingapore.com/publish/stbportal/en/home/what_to_see/isles_of_singapore/pulau_ubin.htm

We took an enjoyable boat ride over. Upon arrival in Pulau Ubin, we hit the bicycle station. Imagine cycling from about 11am until 6pm with two breaks for drinks and one for lunch. The scenery was absolutely beautiful. Soaking in nature was so relaxing. Though we were completely exhausted, we had so much fun.

He Will Carry You

We live in tumultuous times, never has it been tougher. The word of God strengthens us, He infused us with His strength and grace increasingly when we purpose in our hearts to follow Him all the way. In good and bad times, His faithfulness remains. He carries us when we are not able to walk. The times when we were even too weak to pray; the times when what we see seems utterly bleak and hopeless, yet it is in such times that the Lord reaches out to us in love and rescues, delivers and restores us. Once again, we see the greatness, bigness and wonder of our living God.

He Will Carry You

There is no problem too big
God cannot solve it
There is no mountain too tall
God cannot move it

There is no storm too dark
God cannot calm it
There is no sorrow too deep
He cannot soothe it

Oh, if He carried the weight of the world upon His shoulders
I know my brother that He will carry you
Oh, if He carried the weight of the world upon His shoulders
I know my sister that He will carry you

He said "Come on to me all who are weary
And I will give you restt"

There is no problem too big
God cannot solve it
There is no mountain too tall
God cannot move it

There is no storm too dark
God cannot calm it
There is no sorrow too deep
He cannot soothe it

Oh, if He carried the weight of the world upon His shoulders
I know my brother that He will carry you
Oh, if He carried the weight of the world upon His shoulders
I know my sister that He will carry you
I know my brother and I know my sister that Jesus will carry

A Great Job

My mother has been battling rheumatoid arthritis for many years now. Her osteoporosis aggravated her condition further. In recent years, she had a knee replacement done. It helped greatly.

The paved walk ways with railings on the sloppy areas near her flat in Bukit Panjang as seen in the photos in this post point to the remarkable work of the Town Council. Taking these routes is far easier for her than using the stairs. We are blessed with a good, clean, efficient, capable and caring government. They have done a great job.

A New Year, A New Beginning

Today is 2 January 2009, it is the beginning of 2009. Starting the new year with the Lord speaks of optimism, freshness, growth, hope, grace and expectancy.

The amazing love of God envelopes and empowers us. We live each day with expectancy. We linger in His abiding and presence. He renews and restores us.

A fresh new year ahead makes way for the Lord to lead us forward in victory. Lord lead us into Your purposes and plans for 2009 and beyond.

We trust You wholeheartedly. Surely Your mercy and love will follow us all the days of our lives. We live triumphantly because this God is our God. God of power and might. God of strength and authority. We worship You almighty God!

He Went Beyond What I Could Imagine

I have had the privilege to be in vocal training with different people from all walks of life from age of 12 to 70.

Looking back to the journey that the Lord enabled me to embark on, it is amazing to see what the Lord can do when we partner with Him.

It brings me tremendous encouragement when I see these people growing and improving, particularly when their confidence in singing grow. I continue to cherish every opportunity that the Lord presents to me. He went beyond what I could imagine.

Redeeming Grace

We are the recipients of God’s redeeming grace. We do not deserve His free gift yet He lovingly pours His grace into our lives. In the same manner, we must be free to extend this grace to people all around us. Those who have wronged us in times past may come to us to renew ties or pursue reconciliation. This is where the rubber meets the road; when we allow the love of Jesus to rule and reign in us, we will then be able to overlook the offence and extend love willingly. The redeeming grace of God is evident in a people that put His word into practice. We are His living testimony; the characteristics and nature of the Lord shine through us to bring glory to our most high God.
