In our journey with our Maker, we grow stronger in faith as we put our complete trust in Him. When the great storm of life hits us, we may be physically, emotionally or financially battered. However, as long as we focus on the Lord, we are on good grounds. The litmus test of a believer is how he or she responds in a crisis. Everything around us may collapse, we may even lose our possessions, and some may even lose their loved ones to sickness or accidents. The determination to pursue God will never be hindered by any circumstances that overwhelm us from time to time. Many have come through the fire, they have emerged stronger because God sees us through the fire. Just when we think that God seems so far away, the truth of the matter is, He is as close as the mention of His name. As we cry out to Him, He reaches out to rescue and restore us. What a privilege to be children of the great King of the universe.
