We are on pilgrimage. God in His goodness has put eternity in our hearts. We are set apart. We are eternally indebted to the loving Father for declaring His everlasting love for us. We were condemned to death and degradation. God is His mercy picked us up from the miry clay. He gives us purpose to live. We live and move and have our being in Him.
As pilgrims, we abandon everything and anything that hinder us from tracing the footsteps of our master. There is no greater calling than to worship the true and the living God. There is no greater joy than to hear His heart beat.
Focusing on the race means that we allow the Lord total access into every aspect of our lives. We press forward to finish the race. The Lord leads us on to greater heights and deeper depths. And by the power of His Spirit, He leads us on in victory.
