The poor in Spirit cry out to You and You answer us. You lift us up. You plant our feet on solid ground. You clothe us with Your love and power.
The poor in Spirit lean on You. We neither stumble and fall. For You uphold us with Your righteous hands. You lead us on to climb mountains. You lead us on to scale new heights.
The poor in Spirit are anchored in Your love. Pour Your mercy and grace on us. Let us move in the power of Your Spirit. Let us triumph in Your power.

For more than a year now, God spoke to me about sharing the Gospel. I cherished His word and believed God to open the door to minister His word.

God speaks to us. He brings to fruition everything He wants to accomplish in our lives. As we step out in faith. God honours our faith.
He will do everything in His power to bless us. As we step out in obedience, He will anoint us. He orchestrates the circumstances in our lives to bless us. We begin to move in His anointing.
Lord, flow through our broken lives. Empower us, energise us! Shine Your glorious light on us. Move mightily in and through our broken lives. All glory to His majestic name!
On the evening of 14 January 2023, Monte and I were travelling to Aisa Pacific Theological Seminary ( APTS) in Baguio, Philippines. In the midst of the journey, I received an invitation to share the morning devotion to the staff at APTS on 16 January 2025.
I was overjoyed and thankful for God's open door to minister the Word.
My heart was bubbling with joy and expectancy. I looked forward to the ministry on 16 January 2023.
The night before, I fell sick. APTS is 5000 feet above sea level. My body was acclimatising to the high altitude. My body was adjusting to the environment.
On top of that, my health has been challenged in the past few years. I battled Thyroid Eye Disease. My upper eyelids were swollen.
The swelling was worsened with the high altitude due to the high altitude. I was sick.
In my heart, I was concerned that I might not be able to fulfill my commitment. God spoke to me and I trusted Him. I prayed for God to bring healing and restoration.
On the morning of 16 January 3023, I was well. Glory be to God. He is worthy of all glory and praise. God's merciful love overwhelmed me. He is Jehovah Jireh. His healing balm cruises through my broken body.
The Lord grant me a fruitful ministry while I delivered the morning devotion. The power of God is real.
The Lord opens doors of ministry. He directs and orchestrates the circumstances in our lives to bless us. He chooses to minister through broken vessels. His power flows through our broken lives.
The righteous cry out and God hears our cries for help. He reaches out to us in our distress. He comforts and empowers us.
His divine intervention releases us to walk in the power of His love. His merciful love brings us to our knees.
Lord, flow through our lives and ministries. Let our lives bring glory to You. Set us apart. Sanctify us as we worship You.
The water in our aquarium casts a rainbow on the wall. The rainbow is a constant reminder of the goodness of God.
God is a covenant making and covenant keeping God. He speaks into our lives. He keeps His promises.
Promises of hope and joy. Promises of blessings and love. Promises of restoration and hope.
The God of all hope release us to live an abundant life. Life overflowing with His goodness. Living in total liberty. Thriving and reaching fullest potential in Him.
More than 3 decades ago, God spoke to Monte about doing a PhD. He started his PhD in 2020. It would have taken about 5 years to complete. By the Lord's grace, he is targeting to finish his dissertation by the third quarter of 2023. Glory be to the King of kings and Lord of Lords!
Monte and I will be away at Asia Pacific Theological Seminary in Baguio, Philippines. We will be away from 14 January 2023. We will be there for about a month.
We call to mind the faithfulness of God. God speaks to us and we cherish it in our hearts. Faith arises to see God accomplish the impossible. There is nothing God cannot do. Miracles did not happen by chance. Miracles are birthed in the heart of God. Miracles happen by the power of God's Spirit.
When God calls us, He provides the resources.
He meets every need. He is always reliable and dependable.
Our hearts go out to everyone who has believed in us. Everyone who has covered us in prayer. Everyone who has helped us financially. Thank you for journeying with us. Thank you for partnering with us. Thank you for sowing into our ministry. We are deeply indebted to you.
His faithfulness reaches to the skies. We anchor our hope in God. He deserves all the praises in our hearts. We proclaim His glory. We magnify His name. We worship the Lord.
Only God can make our hearts leap with joy. Joy unspeakable. Joy overflowing. Joy bubbling over.
Trials and tribulations cannot stop our joy. For the joy of the Lord is our strength. Joy increases as we dwell in the presence of almighty God.
Joy comes from the heart of God. He delights in us. He sings over us. As we journey with the Lord, joy comes in the midst of challenges. Joy is presents when we face a mountain. God sustains us daily.
God is the source of our joy. No mountain Too high, no rivers too deep. Nothing can suppress the joy that comes bursting through. The natural mind cannot fully comprehend how God works.
God and God alone has given us supernatural ability to triumph in distress. God has empowered to rise above every occasion to declare His power and strength.
Let our hearts be pure. The gold and glitter of this world will not crowd You out. Prestige and power has no hold on us. Wealth will not lure us away from Your presence.
The poor man cries out to You and You rescue him. You poured in the oil and the wine. You robe Him with righteousness. You cleanse and purifies him.
The Poor in Spirit has a place in the presence of the almighty. He lifts the lowly. He raises the simple. He makes room for the marginalised disenfranchised and outcast.
Come and restore us. Come and make all things new. Empower and energise the weak. Let the weak say I am strong. Let the poor say I am rich.
My parents-in-law Howard and Barbara Jean Ham had both gone home to be with the Lord. They were God fearing people. They loved the Lord deeply.
They came to Singapore for a couple of times. It took so much out of them to make these gruelling journeys to be with us. They loved us with all of their hearts.
Both of them had health challenges. They kept trusting and loving God all their lives. My dad-in-law took good care of my mum-in-law. He was the one who prepared the medication for my mum-in-law.
The love my parents-in-law had for each day is indescribable. Their exemplary lives had impacted us enormously. They left us a great legacy.
My heart well up with gratefulness every time I think of my parents-in-law. They blessed and touched Monte and my life deeply.
Lord, You lift the afflicted. You lift the needy. You bind our wounds. You pour in the oil and the wine. You give us undying hope.
The afflicted cry out to You and You hear us. You save us. You deliver us. You bless us beyond our wildest imagination.
The afflicted find solace in Your love. How deep is Your love. How strong is Your love. How wide is Your love. How rich is Your everlasting love. You loved us into obedience. We come bowing in humble adoration.
In the midst of uncertainty and the great unknown, God is challenging us to trust Him. As we step into the water, miracles appear.
We will cower in fear. Our courage will not melt away. God is our defender. He is our fortress and hope. He sustains the weary. He heals the broken-hearted.
God of power and might. God of all glory. We put our trust in Your unfailing love. Manifest Your power. Let Your glory shine on us. Consume our lives as we offer ourselves as living sacrifice on Your altar.
We moved into our flat in Seng Kang in August 2001. I vividly remember how our friend, KC, contacted me to say that her sister had bought a new refrigerator and asked if we would like to take over her existing one. We were more than happy to do so. The refrigerator served us up till early 2015. God is so good to us.
In early 2015, our refrigerator finally broke down. God miraculously provided some funds for us to purchase a new one. Our hearts are overwhelmed by the goodness and providence of our loving God.
We are grateful for God’s timely provision. He watches over us. He meets our needs daily. He sends His ravens and send us food. He nourishes our bodies.
He is more than enough. Our sufficiency is in Christ and Christ alone. All glory goes to our almighty, supreme, sovereign God.
God has put faith in our hearts. Faith originated in God. As we step our in faith to trust our almighty God, He stretches us. He moves supernaturally in our lives. He rebuilds our broken ruins.
You are inclined to the poor in Spirit. You fill our hungry hearts. You quench our thirst. You come to our rescue. You save us.
We offer ourselves to You on Your holy altar. Come and consume our lives. Come and rebuild our broken ruins.
We come in humility. We come on bended knees. We find hope and strength in You. Let there be a constant and earnest desperation for move of Your Spirit.
Our hearts are burning this Christmas morning. We are awakened to Your merciful love. We were once rootless, aimless, powerless and lost. You poured in the oil and the wine. You bring hope and mercy.
With gratitude, we bow. We are humbled in Your presence. We give You all the praises in our hearts.
Lord, as we wait on You, move upon us. Show us Your path. Grant us understanding. Give us a breakthrough. Level the rocky paths. Direct us by the power of Your Spirit.
This is the day of Your power. Let Your glorious light illuminate our hearts. Show us signs and wonders. We want to follow hard after You. We will only go where Your presence is leading us. Touch our lives for Your glory, Lord!
Our hearts yearn for You. We long for You. Just like the watchman who waits for the break of dawn, we wait on You.
We Wait expectantly. We wait wholeheartedly. We wait patiently. We need You desperately.

The harsh realities of life hardens our hearts. We call on You to touch our hearts. Make them pliable in Your loving hands.
The Potter works on our hearts daily. The power of the living God comes on the humble and contrite in heart.
As we obey the Lord, He moves supernaturally in us. We bring glory to His name. The majestic Lord moves mightily. He displays His strength and power through our obedience.
I call to mind the faithfulness of God. Monte and I were married in March 1999. My limited vocabulary is not able to describe the goodness of God.
We thank every person who has journeyed with us all these years. People who not cover us in prayer, they encourage and bless us in many ways. Thank you for partnering with us. Thank you for sowing into our ministry. Our hearts well up with thanksgiving every time God brings you to our remembrance of you.
God has shown us His divine love. How strong is His love. How wide is His love. How deep is His love. Nothing in this world can separate us from His love.
Lord, You are our beacon of hope. You are why we rise each day. Seeing each sunrise brings us immense hope. You are the hope of glory, the rock of ages, the anchor of our hope.
We are eternally thankful for patient work in us. Blossoming and flourishing us as we anchor our lives in You. Teach us to persevere in Your love. Teach us Your ways and we will follow hard after You.
The anointing of God is not reserved for the selected few. He wants us to move in His anointing.
As we step out in faith to believe, His anointing comes on us. As we live a life of obedience, His anointing comes on us. As we avail ourselves to His work, His anointing comes on us.
Move powerfully through each of us. Let our hearts be sensitive to the promptings of Your Spirit. Let our hearts be soft and tender. Open our ears to hear Your voice. Open our hearts to respond in faith.
Lord, we are hungry for a move of God. We see Your glory. We taste Your goodness. We receive You with wide open hearts. Move mightily through us this day!
Life is beautiful. God has blessed us with life. To live it with full liberty. To live it with great joy. To live life fully in the power of His Spirit.
We breathe the air that God gives. We rest in His love. We encounter Him moment by moment.
Life is beautiful. We bask in His presence. We dwell in His love. We live in the light of His glory.
Life is beautiful. We sing the songs of the redeemed. We celebrate life daily. He gives us meaning and purpose to live.
You loved us into submission. This holy fear that You have put in our hearts liberates us. You free us to worship You.
We walk in walk. The fear of man ensnare us. The fear of God builds a godliness. We choose to obey. We choose to worship You in every season of our lives.
Teach us to number our days. As we avail ourselves to You, we grow in loving, knowing and serving You.
God breaks us daily. He transforms us daily. He moulds us daily. His hand of love is upon us.
Men and women who pursue God wholeheartedly are always broken. God in His mercy has chosen us for Himself. He brings out the beauty in us. We reach our fullest potential in Him.
The world does not value weakness but God never despise the weak. When we are weak, the strength of God triumphs. Let the weak say I am strong.
In our vulnerability, God champions our cause. He is for the underdogs, the marginalised and the disenfranchised. He lifts the weak. He raises the humble. He heals the broken.
Lord, mould us, shape us and melt us. Perform a mighty miracle in our lives. Move powerfully through us as we allow You to work in our lives.
Lord, quench our thirst. Let Your water quench our thirsty hearts. Water our hearts. We want to drink from Your living streams. You alone can satisfy and quench our thirst.
Draw us by Your Spirit. Let the rain of Your love wash all over us. Like the deer that pants for water, our hearts long for You.
Come and abide in us. Lead us to Your living streams. We follow hard after You. We long for Your presence. We abide in Your love.
Looking out of my window this morning, I snapped a shot of the beautiful morning sun. The sunshine of God illuminates our hearts. Hope abounds when we abide in Him. God in His love and mercy has poured His glory and grace in our hearts.
Lord, You are the ever living God. Your living hope gives us the strength to persevere. Your living hope gives us purpose to live.
Lord, touch our broken lives. Refresh and rebuild us. Let the power of Your Spirit consume us. We lay our lives on Your altar.
Mould us, shape us, melt us. Let the search light of Your Spirit shine on us. Sanctify and purity our hearts. Let our meditations be pleasing to You. Align our lives to Your purposes.
We surrender all. You have loved us into submission. We are eternally grateful to You. Let our brokenness bring You glory.
There is nothing our God cannot do. He spoke the universe into existence. He parted the sea and His people walked on dry ground.
Faith arises when we dwell on might and power of God almighty. He open our hearts to the miraculous. He allows us to see through His eyes. He speaks faith into our hearts.
There is nothing God cannot do. People who should have long left this earth are still roaming the world because God keeps them alive. God has healed and restored them. The doctors cannot fathom why this would happen. We know. God is a miracle working God. He is alive. He is healing power is real.
There is nothing God cannot do. We encounter set backs and tragedies. The Lord extends His divine intervention. He is mighty to save. He is mighty to heal. He is mighty to deliver.
