This glorious morning, Your glory fills the earth.  There is none like You.  Only fools will say that there is no God.  All creation worship You, Lord!  We declare Your lordship.  We proclaim the glory of Your name, almighty God!

Hope

The hope that God blesses us with is priceless and precious.  Hope is alive in the hearts of God’s redeemed people.  Hope that stands the test of time.  Hope that stands firm in the face of trials and tragedies.  

Our hope is anchored in our ever living God.  Hope that spurs us to persevere in His love.  The power of God is release in the people who hope in God all day long.  Their courage will not melt away.  What does not break us make us stronger.  Strength comes from hope that God births in our hearts.  

As we journey on to the heart of God.  The power of God's presence burns and blazes within us.  The King of glory, the Rock of ages, our eternal God will empower us to hope with expectancy and joy.

In February 2022, I underwent Intravenous Methylprenisolone treatment (IMPT) to treat my thyroid eye disease. I suffered a few side effects. Insomnia, I had a metallic taste in my mouth, heart palpitations and painful leg cramps. I had a total of 12 treatments. Each treatment lasting about an hour.

A day later, I came down with covid. It was a double whammy. My heart rate and blood pressure sky rocketed.

I updated the doctor from the Ministry of Health who was monitoring my covid status.He told me to head straight to the emergency department in Sengkang hospital. 

God touched my body and brought healing. My heart rate and blood pressure stabilised. I was kept for observation and was discharged on the same day. Glory be to God!

I vividly remember laying down in bed the night before. My lungs felt awful. I drifted into slumberland. 

I believe the healing hand of God was on me that night. The power of God's healing is real. He is our mighty healer. Our deliverer. Our only hope. There is nothing our God cannot do. We serve a faithful God!

The Lord watches over us. His intervention and loving support sustain us daily. As we trust our maker, He floods our hearts with His divine presence. 

God is with us. He is with us in the raging storms. He is in complete control. He abides in us. He reigns in our chaos and pain. His still small voice gives us immense strength and hope.

Love From Her Heart

My mum was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease three years ago.  Prior to her diagnosis, she was still handling money.  

I remember her buying coconut buns for my brother's helper, W.  W likes coconut buns.  Very often, I found my mum making the purchase.  

My mum teaches us how to love.  She cares for people.  There are things in life that can only be felt in our hearts.  This is one of those things that mum teaches us.  Love in action.  Love that comes from the heart.

The Lord Reigns

Some time at the end of 2020, my eyelids started swelling and I have been battling with thyroid eye disease (TED) up to now.  The common symptoms of TED are blurred vision, double vision and the inability to close the eyes.

God in His mercy and love has covered me and I did not suffer the  symptoms.  Each day, I thank God for the ability to see colours.  I can close my eyes comfortably.  I do not have double vision.  God has kept my optical nerves strong.

God is with us in all that we are experiencing at this juncture.  Our merciful Lord reaches our to the inner recesses of our hearts.  He blesses us.  He touches us.  He shows us signs of His love.  He shows us glimpses of His glory.

Today, God is making a clarion call to all we choose Him over what this glitzy world offer.  He is beckoning us to put our complete trust in Him.  He never fails.  He is unchanging.  He is fully dependable.  Our God rules and reigns in all eternity.

The Love of Christ

Ministry takes place when we touch someone's life with the love of Christ.  We are the extension of God's power and love.  We connect people to the power of God's spirit.

Serving the Lord entails love and sacrifice.  It involves the supernatural touch of God.  God blesses us.  We in turn become a channel of His love and blessing to others.  We give because we receive so much from God.  We are compelled by the love of God to go the extra mile.  

All that we do in ministry is incomparable to what the Lord has done for us.  Each day as we avail ourselves to the work of the ministry, we are reminded of God's bountiful mercy.  Mercy that looks beyond faults and imperfections. Mercy that makes room for us to do all that is needful to build the family of God.  That the love of Christ will be shared abroad in our hearts.

Our hearts flow with a good theme as we recite our verses to our King.  We raise a song of joy.  We raise a song of victory.  We raise song of deliverance.

God of all comfort.  God of all love.  God of all compassion.  We bow. We adore You. We behold Your glory and Your beauty. There is none like You. You are unparalleled. Who can compare with You.  Matchless, boundless, limitless, infinite, majestic  and all powerful.

The Rain Of God's Love

This morning, when I started my brisk walk, I heard the sound of thunder. I decided to stay put at a nearby coffee shop.

God pours the rain of His love on us unceasingly. Rain to water the farmer's crops. Rain to water plants. Rain is a sign of God providential supply.  Rain that gladdens our hearts. Rain to water our thirsty and parched lives.

God in His love and mercy shows us His love through everyday living. He assures us that those who seek Him shall find Him. He will satisfy those who thirst for Him.

Show Us Your Power

God is gracious and merciful.  He will cast us aside.  He covers us under the shadow of His wings.  He restores and renews us daily.  

He nourishes and empowers us to scale mountains.  He enables us to swim in the mighty river.

Lord, let our lives be a testimony of Your power and grace.  Work powerfully through each of us.  

We avail ourselves to You.  Do whatever You desire to do in and through us.  Let faith arise, let Your purpose and plan be established in us. We commit our lives into Your loving hands.  

Come, Lord!  We lay our lives at Your altar.  Consecrate us.  Draw us to Yourself.  Show us Your power and Your grace.

Stir Our Hearts

Stir our hearts. Let Your peace and comfort reign. Let Your strength and power reign. Let Your glory and grace reign. Turn our hearts like rivers of water. Direct our paths. Order our desires. May our meditations be pure in Your sight.  

We come humbly before You. God of all comfort. God of all grace. God of all power. We proclaim Your glory. We exalt Your holy name. Make us Your habitation. We are made to praise You. We need the Lord and His abiding presence.  God alone can satisfy our longings.  God alone can meet our deepest needs.  

The God of all comfort.  He comforts us in our afflictions.  He gives lasting hope.  He speaks strength into our mortal bodies. 

We cry out to the Lord.  He hears us and helps us in our times of need.  He assures us of His love and presence.  He leads us into His presence.  He leads us to His living streams.  He gives us hope and healing.

Immanuel

Immanuel, God with us. He is with us in our waking moments. He is with us when we lay our heads to rest.  

Even in our dreams, God continues to speak to us. Time and again, we find ourselves encouraged and comforted through dreams from God.  

The Lord's hand is never too short. He brings strength and encouragement. He brings hope and healing.  

He renews us in His love.  He gives us a living hope. We thrive. We persevere by the power of His Spirit.

He turns our tragedies into triumph. He turns our mourning into joy. He gives beauty for ashes.

We celebrate the Lord. Each day is brimming with hope and optimism. He is why we rise with hope daily.

The Lord is in complete control. There is nothing too difficult for Him. We trust in Him with all of our hearts. He is all we ever needed.

This glorious morning, the Lord calls us to Himself.  He calls us to rest in His love.  He calls us to bask in His presence.  He beckons us to follow Him.  

We follow the Lord with all our heart and soul.  Knowing that His love empowers us to love and serve Him.  Remembering that we are frail and vulnerable.

God has blessed me with Monte. We have been married since 20 March 1999. As we age together, we begin to love and cherish each other more. The love of God gels our hearts as one. 

We are so blessed to experience the power of God's presence in our lives. We taste the goodness of God daily. We see the sign His love and that is all we need. When we have the Lord, we have everything. We call on the Lord daily and He pours His love and mercy lavishly on us. Thank you, Lord!

Lord, we thank You for Your rich blessings upon us. Thank You for leading us to Your living streams. Thank You for bringing hope and restoration to us daily. Thank You for strengthening our feeble limbs. Thank You for energising and empowering us to soldier on.  

Not a day has gone by that You fail to show us Your wonder and Your grace. You open our eyes to see endless opportunities. You build our faith to see the miraculous. We cannot live without You.

Pour Your Spirit on us. Shower us with Your mercy and grace. Nothing else matters more than You. You are the very reason we rise each day. 

We walk in the power of Your love. We see Your hand of love. We are overwhelmed by Your goodness and grace. We worship You almighty God.

No Turning Back

There is no turning back. God who began a good work in You and I never fails. He gives us a living hope. He gives us peace and strength that flow right out from His throne of grace.  

The trials and tribulations may overwhelm us but God is the strength of our hearts. He will forever be our God and King. He rules and reigns in every crisis we are facing. Tragedies will not threaten us because of the power of God's presence.

We call on You almighty God. We rest in Your love. We can keep on going on because of You.  Your endless love. Your wonder working power.  Your everlasting love. Your tenderness and mercy.

There is no turning back. We set our faces like flint and seek You with all our hearts. We kneel at Your footstool. We bask in Your glory.

Eternally Grateful

In February 2018, I started to get chronically ill.  In all honesty, thsse past few years have have tough. God saw me through MRIs, pet scans, CT scans, ultrasounds, fibroscan, radiotherapy, intravenous steroid treatments, biopsy and countless laboratory tests.  The only reason I am still alive is because of the goodness of God.

I call to mind the faithfulness of God. I call to mind the mercy of God. I call to mind the grace of God. Each day brims with hope and optimism for us as children of the most high God.  He touches our hearts and blesses us beyond our wildest imagination. Had it not been for the mercy of God, we would still be grappling with guilt, shame and damnation.

God in His goodness chooses to lead us into His love and presence. We are eternally grateful for all that the Lord has lavished on us. We stand amazed at the grace and power of the everliving God.

Thank You, Lord

Each day brings hope. Hope that comes from the merciful Lord. We do not deserve anything and yet God gives us everything. 

Thanking God for the air we breathe. Thanking God for our mobility. Thanking God for giving us another day to live in His glory. We are eternally grateful for Your empowering love.  

There are times when we do not know how we could ever keep on going on. You encourage and stir our hearts to trust You moment by moment. You give us courage to persevere. You lead us by the hand. Your reassuring love and power flood powerfully through our lives.

Down the corridors of time, faithful men and women have gone through great trials and sufferings. They mirror for us a life of complete trust. A life of total dependency on You.  

We desire to grow to trust You no matter how difficult things can get. With unwavering hope, we press in to all that You have instored for us. We press in to Your presence. We cling on to the hem of Your garment. We need You desperately. We lean on Your strong arms. We surrender all.

Magnify the Lord

Sometime between June 2000 -  April 2001, Monte and I were at Asia Pacific Theological Seminary (APTS) in Baguio, Philippines.

In the wee hours one day, some students at the campus gathered to send off someone who was leaving APTS.

I vividly remember lifting my eyes to the awesome starry night sky. I was captivated by the indescribable beauty. I stood amazed at the awesome sky stunned and speechless. 

God made the universe. He is majestic, matchless and magnificent. There is nothing He cannot do.  

Our mountains become molehills in the presence of God. He is magnified. He is high and lifted up. He is complete control of every facet of our broken lives. The God of the universe opens our hearts to embrace Him in His fullness.

He nudges us to go deeper into His love and presence. Our sole preoccupation is to see Him glorified in us. Our heart cry is to proclaim His glory and power.  

Mighty God, come into hearts. Captivate our hearts. Shine Your glorious light. Come in Your power. Come in Your might. Bring restoration and hope. We worship You almighty God.

Pilgrims

We are pilgrims on earth. We have our unique journeys with the Lord. Though the road ahead is filled with uncertainty and challenges. The Lord beckons us to follow Him. All that really matters is a heart that is fully surrendered to God. 

He has full access into every part of our lives. Everything we have come from God. We surrender our lives to God daily.

Even in tragedies, we have emerged stronger than before. It is not due to our strength and abilities. It is not due to our intelligence or strategies. It is purely the mercy and grace of the sovereign Lord. He empowers us to face the storms and calamities. His love enables us to persevere through insurmountable challenges.

Only those who have an encounter with our Maker can see in the realm of the Spirit. God fights for us. The Lord helps us to conquer and triumph in victory. Our war is not against flesh and blood. It is against the dark forces of the enemy. The powers of darkness is null and void; the battle belongs to the Lord. 

The blood of Jesus covers and protects us. God protects us from all danger and harm. 

Teach us to persevere to the very end. You give us supernatural strength to overcome. You strengthen our feeble limbs. You energise and empower us to live in the light of Your glory.  

Our hearts swell with thanksgiving to our almighty and merciful God. We are eternally grateful to You.

My Mum In Her Twenties

 

My mum is her twenties.  Without her love, care and sacrifice.  My two brothers and I will not be where we are today.

Mum teaches us to show care and concern to people.  We grew up in Commonwealth Close.  Mum is well loved and respected by our neighbours.

His Loving Care

Two days ago, Monte and I were out in town.  As we were walking towards the bus stop, I heard someone calling out to me from behind.  A teenage girl gave me my spectacles.  I had apparently dropped it on the ground.  I thanked her.

I had the reading glasses made in June 2022.  What makes this testimony incredible is that the incident happened in the night when visibility was poor.I thank God for watching over me in every possible manner.  

We find every circumstance to thank God.  He watches over us.  He reaches out to the inner recesses of our hearts and assures us of His love and faithfulness daily.  We live to see a sign of His goodness.  Our merciful God keeps us safe from seen and unseen danger.  He protects us and loves us deeply.  He showers His love on us lavishly.

Captivate Our Hearts

Ponder His mighty works. Ponder His unending mercies. Ponder His loving deeds. Ponder His abounding grace. Ponder His undying hope.

Let our hearts and minds be completely consumed by Your love. Let the power of Your love give us courage and perseverance. Captivate us with Your love. Empower us by Your Spirit.

Let the meditations of our hearts be acceptable to You. Let our hearts be pure. Let our motives be pure. Let our intentions be pure. Touch our lives for Your glory.

We Triumph In You

We call to mind the faithfulness of our eternal God.  Lord, You help us to climb the mountains of life.  Climbing the mountain often involves difficulties, hardship and mounting challenges.  

There are times when it gets unbearable; You  beckon us to persevere.  You hold us by our hands and lead us patiently.  

Lord, we surge forward by the power of Your grace.  We press in to Your presence.  We dwell in the shadow of Your wings.  We triumph from faith to faith.  We triumph from glory to glory.  We triumph in Your grace.  

With all that is within us, we magnify Your magnificent name. The name above every other name. 

Lift Us Up

Spirit of God, lift us up.  You are the lifter of our hearts.  You are the lifter of our heads.  You lift us up with Your love.  You lift us up by  Your power.  

Flood our hearts with Your presence this day.  You are the glory and the lifter of our heads. 

In You we live and move and have our being.  Spirit of God, come and empower us by Your Spirit.

Open The Eyes Of Our Heart

You open our eyes and we see Your glory.  You Open our ears and we hear the voice of Your Spirit.  You open our hearts and we understand Your purposes.  

Open the eyes our our hearts.  Pour Your Spirit on us.  Unfold Your plans and purposes to us.  Reveal the things that burn in Your heart to us.  

We want to know You.  We want to embrace everything You have instored for our lives.  We want nothing but You.  

Be glorified in our lives.  Move powerfully in our lives and ministries.

Shine Your Glorious Light On Us

Shine Your glorious light on us, Lord. Be gracious to us. Let the light of Your love shine on us. Let the light of Your glory shine on us. Let the light of Your beauty shine on us.  

We need the power of Your Spirit endlessly.  Take not Your Holy Spirit from us.  

Create in us a clean heart. Renew, revitalise and rebuild us daily.  Shine Your glorious light on us today.

Our hearts burn with Your love.  Love personified.  Love deified.  Love entering our hearts.  Abiding within us.  Love dwelling in us. Worship The Lord

Stop and consider God's wonders.  The flowers dance before our great King.  The mountains clap their hands.  The rivers sing.  All creation worship the ever living God.

We sing the song of gratitude.  We sing the song of the redeemed.  We worship You with everything that is within us.  Let every heart That seeks You rejoice.  Let Your living hope abound.  Let our prayers rise like incense, bringing You honour, glory and praise.

We Bow with Humble Adoration

You created the moon to mark the seasons.  You created the stars and named each of them.  The power of Your glory is displayed in the universe. Your beauty and glory is beyond description. 

We bow in worship. We bow in humble adoration. To our God eternal, immortal, great, glorious and magnificent!  

We stand in awe of Your goodness. We marvel at Your love. We rejoice in Your hope. Come, Lord! Saturate our hearts with Your holy presence. Move powerfully upon our hearts we pray.

We Put Our Trust In You

Lord, we call upon Your mighty name. We trust in Your holy name. We do not put our trust in out talents and abilities.  We do not put our trust in our resources. 

We trust You alone. We trust You from the rising sun till it sets in the evening. We trust in Your faithfulness. We trust in Your goodness.  We trust in an unchanging God. We trust in our God who is fully dependable.

Pour Your Spirit on us.  Let Your faith abound in our hearts. We put our trust in You almighty God. Empower us to live in the light of Your glory and grace. Faithful God, we lean on You.

The Balm of Gilead

I bring my mum before God's throne daily. She has a host of health challenges.  In 2019, my mum was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease.  

In March 2021,  the memory specialist diagnosed her to be in the moderate to severe stage of the disease. The strange thing is in May 2022, she was diagnosed to be in the early to moderate stage.

The memory clinic doctor discharged my mum in July 2022. Glory be to God!  

God is so good. I vividly recall the memory doctor telling me that the medication will not cure my mum. It will slow down her Alzheimer's disease.

I believe the Lord has touched my mum. This is not something natural. God performs miracles. He is our mighty healer. 

God is able to touch and heal my mum. The healing balm of Gliead flows through her.  

We serve a mighty God. Our great physician inspires our hearts to trust Him for healing.

Each of us carry the presence of God wherever we go. As we enter homes and communities, God works through us to touch the people on His heart. 

 

God has given us the power of His presence.  Lives will be transformed. The sick will be healed. The power of God is at work in our broken lives.

God is with us. Many of us have aging and sick parents. The Lord assures us of His hand of love on our loved one.  He watches over us. He cares deeply for us.  

We trust God in every situation. He rules. He reigns. God is with us in every season of our lives.

The Tenderness of Christ

Soften our hearts, Lord! Let the tenderness of Christ reside in us.  Remove all harshness and hardness. Tenderise our hearts with Your love.  Tenderise our hearts with Your grace.  Tenderise our hearts with Your mercy.  

Let the soil of our hearts be ever ready to receive the touch of Your Spirit.  Let our hearts be pliable in Your loving hands.  

Come Lord!  Come and bring wholeness and purity.  Come and restore our broken lives.  Come and rebuild our broken ruins.
