This glorious morning, the clouds are bursting through the sky.  The Lord's hands are never too short.  His promised us His unfailing love.  He pours His Mercy into our broken lives.  He restores hope and strength.  He empowers us to live in the light of His glory.

We Believe

The Lord challenges us to believe even when we cannot see. All He asks from each of us is to have faith in Him. The faith of a mustard seed. 

The mustard seed is incredibly small. It holds a great lesson on faith. 

The mustard seed grows into a mustard bush which can reach an average mature height of up to 20 feet with a 20 feet spread. 

It is bewildering, a tiny seed has so much potential.

God asks for us to have faith like a mustard seed, a seed of faith that will grow exponentially. Faith that moves mountains.

Faith is birthed in our hearts by the power of God's spirit. Our faith is not stagnant. God grows our faith. He increases our capacity to receive miracles, signs and wonders. 

He wants us to reach out to Him in childlike faith. We are free from all doubt to embrace His purposes and plans.

When faith arises in our hearts, God will do great exploits through our broken lives.  

We glorify the Lord. We lift up His glorious name. We magnify Him forevermore.

God's Providential Supply

Not too long ago, my brother, Edwin, called to say that his friend was moving house and he had a good working condition sofa to give away.  We took it as the sofa we had was giving way.

The sofa matched our other furnishings in our living room. (The sofa set that is near the hanging fan.) We thank God for supplying our every need.  He watches over us and meets our needs.

We Trust in the Lord

Some put their trust in chariots.  Some put their trust in horses.  We put our trust in the Lord. Our faithful God who leads us in triumph. Our God who never fails.  Our hearts are not bought in by this world and its trappings.  Our sole desire is to see God glorified.  We magnify the Lord above all else.  We proclaim His majesty.  He reigns from on high. His train fills the temple.  He is high and lifted up. 

We Worship You

The sky gets more brilliant and stunning with each passing moment this morning. We rise to worship You, the true and the living God. You pour Your grace on us lavishly. You are the reason why we keep on going. Live through us this day. Shine the light of Your glory on us Your broken people. We worship You, King of kings and Lord of lords.

Trust

When our life is crumbling and falling apart, God holds us firmly with His love. God is far bigger than the sum total of all our problems.  He is beyond our finite imagination.  He is beyond logic.  He is beyond human reasoning.  God in His mercy picked us up from our messy past.  He gives us eternal hope.  He fills our heart with great joy.  When we come up against a wall, God challenges us to focus on Him.  He speaks strength, hope and wholeness into our mortal beings.  He speaks life to the dead bones and breathes life to our battered heart.  He is alive.  We can put our trust in our God who is fully dependable.  He never fails.  He watches over us and covers us with His abiding love.  He comforts and strengthens us.

We are just a breath away between life and death.  God sustains us daily.  He sustains us with His breath.  His mercy sustains us.  His power sustains us.  His grace sustains us.  The fishes can never live without water.  We cannot survive apart from the Lord.  He not only breathed life into our mortal bodies, He gives us purpose and meaning to live for Him.  He gives us undying hope and comfort.  Trials and tribulations cannot deter us from pursuing God.  They make us strong and resilient.  We are made to weather tough terrains because God makes us overcomers.  He gives us strength and dignity.  He gives us joyful hope to face every new day.  He gives us power and grace to live for His glory.

His Miraculous Provision

This morning, I call to mind the miraculous provision of the Lord. In March 2016, Monte was delivering a paper at the Society of Pentecostal Studies conference in San Dimas, California. We prayed and trusted God to make that trip together. It was my maiden trip to United States of America.

One day, we went to Sequoia National Park with our brother-in-law and late sister-in-law. It was so magnificent and beautiful. For the first time in my life, I held snow in my hands. My heart was bursting with joy and gratitude.

Our hearts went out to every person who made our trip possible. Many of them encouraged us, prayed with us, supported us and blessed us. We continue to thank them from the depth of our hearts. There were some who have their own pressing needs but they sacrificed in love.

God opened our hearts to see His miraculous provision. There is nothing He cannot do. He sees us through yesterday, He sees us through today and we trust Him for our tomorrow. We see His hand of love. We taste His goodness. We feel His abiding presence.

His Faithfulness Reaches to the Sky

Monte and I moved into our first flat in Seng Kang in 2001.  We lived in Bukit Batok for a year right after we got married in a rental flat.

We really loved staying here in Seng Kang.  It is convenient to go to many parts of Singapore from our home.  The living environment is great.

We are thankful to be staying on the highest floor of our block.  Overtime, I have captured some shots from our home.  The sky has a way to captivate my heart.  God's faithfulness reaches to the sky.

Our almighty God is in complete control our our lives.  He orchestrates circumstances and situations to work His purposes and plans for us.  It is by the power of His spirit and not the wisdom of man.  He blows our minds away time and again when He performs miracles.  He shows us His wonder and greatness.  He reveals His glory to all who believe. He delivers us from floods and fire.  The God who is boundless, timeless, limitless and infinite.  We proclaim His majesty.  We surrender our lives to our maker.

The Lord Watches over our Loved Ones

My mum who is in her 70's related to me that on several occasions she almost fell and somehow she was able to break the fall.  I believe that the Lord has protected and covered my mum in these instances. 

Each day, I cover my mum and my dad-in-law in prayer.  I pray that God will keep them safe. I pray for God to watch over them.  I pray that God will give them good memories and keep them from depression.  I pray for God to be merciful to them.

I believe in the power of God's presence.  I believe God watches over our loved ones.  He protects and covers them when we pray.  Prayer knows no distance, when we pray in faith believing, God works wonders. 

I am thankful that my mum allows me to pray with her though she is not a Christian.  I continue to pray that she will come to the Lord soon. 

God of Mercy and Grace

We gaze into the evening sky, all we see is the Lord's awesomeness and greatness.  We see His grace and strength.  Our hearts are filled with hope again.

God hears our heart-cries. He inclines His ears towards us.  God of mercy and grace brings relief and rest to us. God is ever faithful and true. We find rest in our maker. We find solace. We find hope.

Our 20th Wedding Anniversary

The best decision I have made in my lifetime was when I gave my heart to Jesus at thirteen. The next is marrying Monte. Today marks the 20th year of our marriage. God has blessed me with Monte. He fears and loves God deeply. He loves, supports, encourages, sacrifices and cares for me dearly. I love him with all of my heart. We cherish each day we share together. God has been good to us.

We taste His goodness, we feel His hand of love, we feel His tender mercies and His loving kindness. He has led us into paths that we have never imagined entering. As He leads us on, He shows us that there is absolutely nothing He cannot do. Our God who spoke this world into existence dwell in our hearts in all His wonder, glory and power. His faithfulness reaches to the sky. No one can compare with Him.

We have been to mountain tops and deep valleys. We have enjoyed plenty and lack. We have been through deep sorrow and unspeakable joy. Through every season of our life, God is with us. His presence gives us hope to persevere. He gives us purpose and meaning to live. He is all we ever need. We would have despaired if it had not been for His love, grace and strength.

We look forward to what God has in store for us. We marvel at His surpassing greatness and glory. We marvel at His grace and power. We worship and adore the ever living God. Our God of mercy, love and grace.
