We serve a supernatural God.  We live supernatural lives.  Lord, open our eyes to see the miraculous.  Open our hearts to receive Your blessings and gifts.  Open our ears to hear Your word of life.  Bring restoration. Bring relief.  Bring breakthroughs.  Nothing is too difficult for You.  Release Your wonder working power.  Save us.  Deliver us.  Cover us. We declare Your greatness and faithfulness from now till the end of eternity. 

Your Loving Kindness

Each day brings new hope as God awakens us to His love.  Each breath is filled with the mercy of  our loving Father.  He blesses us with His loving kindness.  He opens our eyes to behold His beauty.  He opens our hearts to receive His blessings.  God supreme, God sovereign, God almighty.  Give us a heart of wisdom, grant us Your sustaining grace.  Pour out Your spirit on us, Lord.

Great is the Lord

About two years ago, blood was found in my mum's stool.  This was followed up with a colonoscopy.  A polyp was discovered and we thank God that it was benign.  Recently, my mum went through her second colonoscopy.  Another benign polyp was removed.  She will need to go through another colonoscopy in five years time.

We find every circumstance to thank God.  Thanking God for every improvement. Thanking Him for every breakthrough. Thanking Him for every success.  God watches over our loved ones.  His assuring love and presence overwhelm us and bring calmness and solace and strength.  We trust Him.  We  rest in His love.  We receive His unending mercies.

The Fire of Your Love

Life is a gift from our merciful God.  He leads and directs our path as we put our hands in His.  We honour Him with our life.  We honour Him in every decision we make.  We honour Him with humble obedience.

Some of us may be facing tragedies and hardship.  We may feel that God seems so far away.  We do not know how long we can stay in that life threatening situation.  We are at our wit ends.  The silence is unbearable.

Tough times reveal who we truly are.  When the rubber meets the road, we see our authentic self.  If any of us are sugar coated, we may not survive the fire.

God breaks through our defenses.  He challenges us to trust Him in the burning wok.  Even when all seem to be in chaos, the presence of God will prevail.  The touch of God is evident when we worship Him in hard times.  Someone once said that "tough times will not diminish the presence of God".  As the fire gets hotter, our faith in God is purified.  He is with us in the fire.  We will overcome because God almighty is with us.  He promised never to leave us or forsake us.  He covers us with His love and protects us.  His abiding presence envelopes us

Lord, we trust You.  Our hope is anchored in You.  Work powerfully through our broken lives. 

Lead Us to Your Heart

You have given us life.  You have given us wholeness.  You have given us strength.  There are days when we are overcome with distress and challenges.  You come to us with Your assuring love.  You give us rest and remind us that You are in complete control.  You help us to see through Your eyes, to hear through Your ears and to understand with Your heart.  You build us up to overcome every obstacle. We see Your great power at work in our deepest pain, in our deepest anguish, in our deepest distress. How could we ever live without You.  We need You more than yesterday.  Lead us to Your heart, Lord!  When we have You, we have everything.

Hope

This morning, there was a faint rainbow in the sky.  The rainbow is a sign of God's hope.  It is a sign of God's goodness and grace.  Have it not been for His hope, we would not have lived another day.  God's eternal hope sustains the weary.  The living hope of God gives us reason to live and thrive.  He blesses us with wholeness, renewal and restoration.

We Seek You

As the clouds are pushing through the sky.  Your love envelopes us.  Your love overpowers us.  Your love floods our hearts.  Reveal Yourself to us as we seek You.  Seeking You with everything that is within us.  Seeking You to know You.  Seeking You to love You.  We declare Your majesty in all the earth.  Pour Your spirit on us, this day. 

Merciful Lord

This glorious morning, the clouds are bursting through the sky.  The Lord's hands are never too short.  His promised us His unfailing love.  He pours His Mercy into our broken lives.  He restores hope and strength.  He empowers us to live in the light of His glory.

We Believe

The Lord challenges us to believe even when we cannot see. All He asks from each of us is to have faith in Him. The faith of a mustard seed. 

The mustard seed is incredibly small. It holds a great lesson on faith. 

The mustard seed grows into a mustard bush which can reach an average mature height of up to 20 feet with a 20 feet spread. 

It is bewildering, a tiny seed has so much potential.

God asks for us to have faith like a mustard seed, a seed of faith that will grow exponentially. Faith that moves mountains.

Faith is birthed in our hearts by the power of God's spirit. Our faith is not stagnant. God grows our faith. He increases our capacity to receive miracles, signs and wonders. 

He wants us to reach out to Him in childlike faith. We are free from all doubt to embrace His purposes and plans.

When faith arises in our hearts, God will do great exploits through our broken lives.  

We glorify the Lord. We lift up His glorious name. We magnify Him forevermore.

God's Providential Supply

Not too long ago, my brother, Edwin, called to say that his friend was moving house and he had a good working condition sofa to give away.  We took it as the sofa we had was giving way.

The sofa matched our other furnishings in our living room. (The sofa set that is near the hanging fan.) We thank God for supplying our every need.  He watches over us and meets our needs.

We Trust in the Lord

Some put their trust in chariots.  Some put their trust in horses.  We put our trust in the Lord. Our faithful God who leads us in triumph. Our God who never fails.  Our hearts are not bought in by this world and its trappings.  Our sole desire is to see God glorified.  We magnify the Lord above all else.  We proclaim His majesty.  He reigns from on high. His train fills the temple.  He is high and lifted up. 

We Worship You

The sky gets more brilliant and stunning with each passing moment this morning. We rise to worship You, the true and the living God. You pour Your grace on us lavishly. You are the reason why we keep on going. Live through us this day. Shine the light of Your glory on us Your broken people. We worship You, King of kings and Lord of lords.

Trust

When our life is crumbling and falling apart, God holds us firmly with His love. God is far bigger than the sum total of all our problems.  He is beyond our finite imagination.  He is beyond logic.  He is beyond human reasoning.  God in His mercy picked us up from our messy past.  He gives us eternal hope.  He fills our heart with great joy.  When we come up against a wall, God challenges us to focus on Him.  He speaks strength, hope and wholeness into our mortal beings.  He speaks life to the dead bones and breathes life to our battered heart.  He is alive.  We can put our trust in our God who is fully dependable.  He never fails.  He watches over us and covers us with His abiding love.  He comforts and strengthens us.

We are just a breath away between life and death.  God sustains us daily.  He sustains us with His breath.  His mercy sustains us.  His power sustains us.  His grace sustains us.  The fishes can never live without water.  We cannot survive apart from the Lord.  He not only breathed life into our mortal bodies, He gives us purpose and meaning to live for Him.  He gives us undying hope and comfort.  Trials and tribulations cannot deter us from pursuing God.  They make us strong and resilient.  We are made to weather tough terrains because God makes us overcomers.  He gives us strength and dignity.  He gives us joyful hope to face every new day.  He gives us power and grace to live for His glory.

His Miraculous Provision

This morning, I call to mind the miraculous provision of the Lord. In March 2016, Monte was delivering a paper at the Society of Pentecostal Studies conference in San Dimas, California. We prayed and trusted God to make that trip together. It was my maiden trip to United States of America.

One day, we went to Sequoia National Park with our brother-in-law and late sister-in-law. It was so magnificent and beautiful. For the first time in my life, I held snow in my hands. My heart was bursting with joy and gratitude.

Our hearts went out to every person who made our trip possible. Many of them encouraged us, prayed with us, supported us and blessed us. We continue to thank them from the depth of our hearts. There were some who have their own pressing needs but they sacrificed in love.

God opened our hearts to see His miraculous provision. There is nothing He cannot do. He sees us through yesterday, He sees us through today and we trust Him for our tomorrow. We see His hand of love. We taste His goodness. We feel His abiding presence.

His Faithfulness Reaches to the Sky

Monte and I moved into our first flat in Seng Kang in 2001.  We lived in Bukit Batok for a year right after we got married in a rental flat.

We really loved staying here in Seng Kang.  It is convenient to go to many parts of Singapore from our home.  The living environment is great.

We are thankful to be staying on the highest floor of our block.  Overtime, I have captured some shots from our home.  The sky has a way to captivate my heart.  God's faithfulness reaches to the sky.

Our almighty God is in complete control our our lives.  He orchestrates circumstances and situations to work His purposes and plans for us.  It is by the power of His spirit and not the wisdom of man.  He blows our minds away time and again when He performs miracles.  He shows us His wonder and greatness.  He reveals His glory to all who believe. He delivers us from floods and fire.  The God who is boundless, timeless, limitless and infinite.  We proclaim His majesty.  We surrender our lives to our maker.
