Our almighty God is in complete control our our lives.  He orchestrates circumstances and situations to work His purposes and plans for us.  It is by the power of His spirit and not the wisdom of man.  He blows our minds away time and again when He performs miracles.  He shows us His wonder and greatness.  He reveals His glory to all who believe. He delivers us from floods and fire.  The God who is boundless, timeless, limitless and infinite.  We proclaim His majesty.  We surrender our lives to our maker.

The Lord Watches over our Loved Ones

My mum who is in her 70's related to me that on several occasions she almost fell and somehow she was able to break the fall.  I believe that the Lord has protected and covered my mum in these instances. 

Each day, I cover my mum and my dad-in-law in prayer.  I pray that God will keep them safe. I pray for God to watch over them.  I pray that God will give them good memories and keep them from depression.  I pray for God to be merciful to them.

I believe in the power of God's presence.  I believe God watches over our loved ones.  He protects and covers them when we pray.  Prayer knows no distance, when we pray in faith believing, God works wonders. 

I am thankful that my mum allows me to pray with her though she is not a Christian.  I continue to pray that she will come to the Lord soon. 

God of Mercy and Grace

We gaze into the evening sky, all we see is the Lord's awesomeness and greatness.  We see His grace and strength.  Our hearts are filled with hope again.

God hears our heart-cries. He inclines His ears towards us.  God of mercy and grace brings relief and rest to us. God is ever faithful and true. We find rest in our maker. We find solace. We find hope.

Our 20th Wedding Anniversary

The best decision I have made in my lifetime was when I gave my heart to Jesus at thirteen. The next is marrying Monte. Today marks the 20th year of our marriage. God has blessed me with Monte. He fears and loves God deeply. He loves, supports, encourages, sacrifices and cares for me dearly. I love him with all of my heart. We cherish each day we share together. God has been good to us.

We taste His goodness, we feel His hand of love, we feel His tender mercies and His loving kindness. He has led us into paths that we have never imagined entering. As He leads us on, He shows us that there is absolutely nothing He cannot do. Our God who spoke this world into existence dwell in our hearts in all His wonder, glory and power. His faithfulness reaches to the sky. No one can compare with Him.

We have been to mountain tops and deep valleys. We have enjoyed plenty and lack. We have been through deep sorrow and unspeakable joy. Through every season of our life, God is with us. His presence gives us hope to persevere. He gives us purpose and meaning to live. He is all we ever need. We would have despaired if it had not been for His love, grace and strength.

We look forward to what God has in store for us. We marvel at His surpassing greatness and glory. We marvel at His grace and power. We worship and adore the ever living God. Our God of mercy, love and grace.

His Healing Grace

My mum who is in her 70's has some health challenges for many years now.  There was a period of time when her blood pressure was perpetually high.  The doctor kept tweaking the dosage of her medication.  For months on end, the problem persisted.  The situation was weighing on my heart as her persistently high blood pressure may affect her health adversely.

Daily, I will plead the blood of Jesus to heal her.  I pray that the healing power of God will flow from the top of her head to the sole of her feet.  I pray for God to perform a miracle.  My mother is not a Christian but she is open for prayer.

A couple of month ago, the doctor was running through my mum's blood test result with me.  He said that her kidneys, liver, cholesterol and blood sugar are good.  Recent bone density test for osteoporosis came back good too.  Her blood pressure was normal now.  My mum and I were overjoyed.

Praise be to God.  I shared with my mum that I believe God had healed her.  I saw the joy and excitement in her eyes.

God can touch our loved ones.  His hand is never too short.  The balm of Gilead is released as we pray in faith.  God's love and power is available for all who believe.  He reaches out to us and comes to our rescue.  There is absolutely nothing He cannot do.

Mountain Climbers

As pilgrims on earth, we are mountain climbers.  The mountains in our life loom large and formidable.  The challenges, trials, hardships are like mountains that we must climb.  

As we face the mountains, we are mindful that God made these mountains.  He knows the base, the peak, the crest, the slope and the face of the mountain like the back of His hand.  He is in full control.  We have nothing to fear.  

Victory and triumph await the children of God.  God's redeemed people are led by the power of God's spirit.

We rise in faith. We rise in hope.  We rise with courage. 

God promised us that He will help us to conquer the mountains.  He gives us the strength to press on.  He is with us, Immanuel.

God's strength is made perfect in our weakness. In the eyes of common man, weakness is frowned upon. Weakness is the hallmark of the underachiever. Weakness is incapability. Weakness is inadequacy.

The Lord looks at our weakness differently. Weakness is strength. In our weakness, God comes to us and fills our hearts with His greatness. He pours His grace, strength, hope, power and goodness on us. 

As we turn our weakness to Him, He makes something beautiful out of our broken pieces. 

He renews our hope. He rebuilds our life. He restores our broken dreams. He speaks life to everything that is dying off.

The infinite love of God shines through our weakness. The power of His grace radiates through our brokenness. He makes all things beautiful. He turns our life around and fills us with hope.

The God of this universe works through each weak and frail vessel. His mercy and grace reach out to the deepest recesses of our hearts and touch the core of our being. His glory fills our hearts. His glory fills each of us as we cry out to Him daily.

His Persevering Love

We have all experienced dark days in our lifetime.  Bleakness and doom cloud our outlook and perspectives.  The stress and pressure seemingly suffocate us and immobilize us.  Fear grip our hearts.  Worry is a constant companion.  We are human.  We are susceptible to fear, discouragement and despondency.  At times, we just want to throw in the towel.  Every attempt to stand up is futile.

As children of God, we are subjected to hard times and dark days.  The difference is the knowledge that through these challenging times, God is with us.  With Him, we can weather any difficulties.  Not because of anything that is good about us; the truth is we cannot manage on our own.  God helps us.  He delivers us.  He strengthens us to overcome.  He gives us victory and hope.  He beckons to us to follow Him.  All that really matters is the posture of our hearts.  

We seek and love Him with no reservation.  Through the fire and the flood, God's glory shines through our broken lives.  God's unfailing love and power sustains us moment by moments.  He does not want us to quit.  His persevering love leads us daily to trust Him for the miraculous.  All glory and honour be unto God who lives and reigns through all eternity.
