Mighty God

I just took a shot of the fluffy clouds in the blue sky from home.  It is breathtaking.

Lord, we come in humble adoration.  We come with open hearts.  We come with expectant hearts.  Move upon our broken lives this day.

Set Apart for You

We echo the words of the psalmist. We seek Your face. We want to know You. We want to encounter You daily. We are set apart for You.

Let our hearts be sensitive to the move of Your spirit. We want to hear Your voice. We want to know Your heart.

Almighty God, we serve You alone. The highest calling is to worship You. We bow. We prostrate before You. We worship You almighty God.

Lord, You are our prime preoccupation. Every part of our being belongs to You. Let our hearts cry out to You unceasingly. You are the Lord of our lives. 

You are all that really matters. When our relationship with You is whole, every other area of our lives will fall in place.

You alone are worthy of all praise and glory. Saturate our hearts with Your abiding presence. Let us be a pleasing sacrifice to You. Make us an instrument of Your love today.

Draw us by Your power. Draw us by Your love. We run to Your presence. Let us seek You alone.

We have decided to follow You. There is no turning back. We have set our faces like flint before You. Consume our broken lives. Establish us in You. Raise us up to scale new heights in You. We trust You with all of our hearts.

Be Bold, Be Strong

God does not just build our faith, He grants us boldness. A boldness that comes from journeying with God. A boldness that comes right from the presence of God.

The stresses and challenges of life do not melt away our courage. As we wait on the Lord, we shall mount up with wings like eagles. We shall run and not be weary. We shall walk and not faint. 

We are bold. We are strong. We will not cower in fear. God unleashes His great power on us. He shows us the might of His strength. There is nothing our God cannot do.

As we step out in obedience, God's boldness and strength permeate through us. He does great exploits through broken vessels. He shows His greatness through broken lives.

The power of God comes on His righteous people. The power of God rests on the contrite in heart. As we humble ourselves before the Lord, He moves powerfully through us.

Merciful God

In October 2021, I underwent radiotherapy to treat my thyroid eye disease. There were a total of 10 daily treatment sessions.

Besides radiotheray, I underwent Intravenous Methylprenisolone treatment (IMPT) in March 2022. I went through weekly treatment for 12 weeks.

With IMPT, I battled awful side effects. Heart palpitations, leg cramps, leg stiffness, metallic taste in my mouth and insomnia.

I call to mind the goodness and faithfulness of our almighty God. I was able to go through the difficult days because of the Lord. 

As I reflect on the days and months when I battled the side effects of IMPT. I was not depending on my ability. God gave me supernatural strength. He empowered me with with hope and optimism. The power of God is real.

The Lord watches over us. His intervention and loving support sustain us daily. As we trust our Maker, He floods our hearts with His divine presence.  

God is with us. He is with us in the raging storms. He is in complete control. In our chaos, His still small voice gives us immense strength and hope.

The goodness and mercy of God will follow us all the days of our lives. As we set our eyes on the Lord, we anchor our hope in His unfailing love.

Miracle Working God

More than 3 decades ago, God spoke to Monte about doing a PhD. He started his PhD in 2020. It would have taken about 5 years to complete. By the Lord's grace, he has completed it in 3 years.  Glory be to the King of kings and Lord of Lords!

Our hearts are overwhelmed with the goodness of God. He never fails. His faithfulness reaches to the skies.

Our hearts go out to many who have journeyed with us all these years. Many have believed in us. Many have prayed for us. Many have encouraged us. Many have supported us. Many have blessed us.  

Thank you for partnering with us. Thank you for sowing into our ministry. We thank each of you from the bottom of our hearts. We are deeply indebted to you.

We call to mind the faithfulness of God. God speaks to us and we cherish it in our hearts.  Faith arises to see God accomplish the impossible. There is nothing God cannot do.  Miracles did not happen by chance. Miracles are birthed in the heart of God. Miracles happen by the power of God's Spirit.

When God calls us, He provides the resources.  He meets every need. He is always reliable and dependable.

Merciful Lord

My mum came down with Covid on 13 April 2023.  She has since recovered.

All this time, we all have tried our level best to make sure that she receives the maximum protection from Covid.  I remember her using two face masks at the height of the pandemic when we went to the doctor's office.

As my mum has a host of health challenges, we were concerned that contracting Covid might pose some dangers.  We thank God for seeing her through this infection.

God is so good.  He watches over our loved ones.  We look to Him and we entrust our loved ones into His loving hands.  He never fails.  We can trust Him.

Trusting God

We trust You at every juncture. We trust You at every crossroad. We trust You in every season.

We trust You in the stormy seas. We trust You in the parched desert. We trust You in desolate wasteland.

This trust is not driven by our senses. It is inspired by the power of God. It is birthed in the presence of God. 

We put our complete trust in You our Maker. You are faithful to the very end. We put our complete trust in our Redeemer. You are unchanging. You are fully dependable.

Thank you for putting faith in our hearts. Thank You for putting eternity in our hearts.

Your ears are inclined to the cries of our hearts. Let faith arise. Let us live in the power of Your glory and Your grace.

God is inspiring our hearts to believe Him for miracles.  Miracles that are possible because God is supernatural.

The Lord shows Himself that He is unparalleled. He is almighty. Nothing is impossible for Him.

Lord, we believe in Your miraculous power. We believe in Your wonder working power.  We believe in Your sovereign and eternal power.

Come and abide in us. Breathe hope and optimism into our hearts. Cause us to rise with faith. You empower us to persevere. You turn parched desert into living streams. You are God of possibilities.

Move Upon Us

Our God is faithful. He is with us in every season of our lives. He is with us when we are between a wall and a hard place. We experience God's divine intervention daily.

We turn to the Lord in our hour of need. God comes through for us. His mercy reigns. His abounding grace overflows.

The hand of God is never too short to reach us. His ears are inclined to our cries for help. He is constantly reaching out to us. He pours His power and grace on us. 

The Lord does His deepest work in us I in our darkest hours. The fire of His love burns bright and strong in our broken lives.

Deep calls to deep. The deep hunger and cries from our hearts reach the Lord. He responds by pouring His mercy and grace on us.

Lord, let us not limit Your movements in our lives. Move powerfully through us. Show us Your power and glory.

The more we yield to Lord, the more He moves upon us. When we step out in obedience, His anointing is unleashed on us. We receive His empowerment.  We begin to move in His anointing.

Mighty Healer

In recent years, I have been battling osteoarthritis. My last two fingers on my right hand cannot bend fully.  

God healed me when I was in Baguio, Philippines in early 2023. Monte and I spent a month at Asia Pacific Theological Seminary (APTS) situated at Baguio, Philippines.

I am thankful to be able to clench my right fist completely. I have a firmer grip of my right hand. Glory be to God!

It is significant that the healing happened in Baguio, Philippines. The Lord healed me powerfully. He brought me all the way to Baguio to experience His miraculous healing.

Making the trip to APTS was a challenge. My thyroid eye disease caused my upper eye lids to swell due to the flight to Baguio. On top of that, APTS is situated 5000 feet above sea level. This further aggravated my upper eyelid swelling. God saw me through the whole trip. I continue to trust God for complete healing.

The Lord is the greatest physician. His healing can be instantaneous. It can be progressive. His healing balm flows through our broken bodies.   

All honour and glory be to our great healer. He is worthy to be praised. He is mighty to save. Mighty to deliver. And mighty to heal.

God puts faith in our hearts for the miraculous. God's miraculous power is on full display. There is nothing our God cannot do.

Lord, we call upon Your mighty name. We declare Your healing power on our bodies. Right every wrong in our bodies. Heal every cell, tissue and organ. Heal every tendon, ligament and joint. Let our organs and body parts function correctly. Touch us from the sole of our feet to the top of our heads. Thank you for touching and healing our broken bodies.p

We Magnify You

Lord, nothing else matters apart from You being the focus. We rely and lean on You. Never will we find one as faithful as You.

You are the beginning and the end. You are Alpha and Omega. You are our everlasting God and King.

Teach us to number our days. We fall at Your feet. We are completely at Your disposal. Lead us and guide us to live lives that are pleasing to You. We magnify Your name. We extol Your most high name.

Move Upon Us

We see Your glory.  We taste the honey in the rock.  We bask in Your presence.  We behold Your glory.

Our hearts swell in Your presence.  Your empowering presence makes us whole and strong.  Your ever increasing power is in full display for all to marvel.

The righteous cry out and You hear our cries.  Your love lifts us up daily.  We are anchored in Your undying hope.

The Journey To The Heart Of God

Lord, take us by the hand. Take us to Your heart. The journey to the heart of God is not for the fainthearted. You are the strength of our hearts.

You give us courage and strength on the journey. You flood our hearts with Your love and presence. You give us unending hope.

We have decided to follow Jesus. We have set our faces like flint. We will persevere to the very end. We soldier on with determination triumphantly.  Our courage will not melt away.

Our eternal God and King is our refuge. He is our ever-present help. Our hearts well up with thanksgiving as we declare the power of His love.

I Love You, Monte!

Today marks the 24th year of our marriage.  I am overwhelmed by the goodness of God.  I am blessed with Monte.  

I enjoy my singlehood but I enjoy my marriage far more than when I was single.  

Two is better than one.  God brings us together and bring about synergy.  Combining our strengths and weaknesses.  Bringing out the best in us as we become one.

Monte loves, supports, encourages and believes in me.  As we journey on, we begin to discover more of each other.  A lifetime is too short to love someone.

God builds marriages.  God blesses us with loving spouses.  We experience the power of God's love and presence.  We taste the goodness of God.

We know the strength of His love.  The height of His love.  The width of His love.  The depth of His love.  Because He first loved us, we love one another.

Seeking God

Monte and I spend a lot of time in the forest. We enjoy meandering through the heart of nature reserves. We pray and seek the Lord as we walk.  We listen to the voice of the Lord in the heart of the forest.

God is with us. He beckons us to follow Him. He leads us to His living streams. He leads us deep into the forest. He sensitises our hearts to listen to the voice of His Spirit. He assures us of His abiding presence.

Our hearts are filled with His living hope. A hope that does not disappoint. A hope that never dies. A hope that never ends. As we seek the Lord, He brings us deeper into His presence. He speaks strength and grace into our hearts. He breathes life and hope into our being.

We See Your Glory

We see Your glory.  We hear Your voice.  We feel Your presence.  We taste Your goodness.  

We are blessed.  Blessed To receive and blessed to give.  Your mighty work in us spurs us on to trust You.  Trusting You in every season of our lives.

In joy and sorrow, we bless Your holy name. In hope and despair, we praise Your great name.  In good times and tough times, we lift up holy hands.  

Touch our broken lives. Renew and rebuild us.  Refire and restore us.  We need You more with each passing moment.  We worship You almighty God.

Growing In The Lord

Monte and I moved into Sengkang in August 2001.  We love living in this beautiful estate.

I vividly recall the young plants that grew along the road. The strong wind and thunderstorm oftentimes make it difficult to keep the young saplings in place. The authorities would use reinforcements. 

Without the reinforcements, the saplings will never grow into trees. Today, all the saplings have grown into young trees. Wow!

Just like the young saplings that have grown into trees, God grows us. God nurtures, builds and nourishes us. The storms and challenges do not destroy us. They make us stronger in the Lord.  Our courage will not melt away. The sustaining power of God is at work in our broken lives.

By the power of God's Spirit we thrive. We triumph. We overcome. God is the one who grants us hope and courage to persevere. He brings us growth. He brings out the best in us.  

As we journey with the Lord, He empowers us to move in His anointing. We will not settle for less. We reach our fullest potential in the power of God’s Spirit.  

From faith to faith. From glory to glory. We lean completely on the Lord. We know no other way except the path that He lays before us.

We walk by faith and not by sight. God empowers us with His presence. He empowers us with His love.  He empowers us with His anointing.

Mum

I came back to Singapore on 12 February 2023. When I visited my mum the next day, she alerted me to a bony lump on her hand.  

We consulted the doctor and X-Ray was taken.  A teleconsultation was arranged at a later date.

On the day of the teleconsultation, mum was so amazed that she could see the doctor via zoom in the comfort of the home.  We are thankful that the bony lump was not of major concern.

I am grateful to the Lord.  My mum was able to alert me to the bony lump on her wrist despite her Alzheimer's disease.  The Lord loves and watches over our loved ones.  We can lean on Him at all times.

We Worship You

We ponder the loving deeds of the Lord.  We ponder the unending mercies of the Lord.  We ponder the loving kindness of the Lord.

Our hearts swell.  Our hearts overflow with Your presence and power.  Your love overpowers us.  Your grace is all sufficient.

Teach us to number our days.  Endow us with Your wisdom and understanding.  Empty us so that You can fill us with Your goodness and grace. 

Sovereign Lord, You have loved us with an everlasting love.  Consume our lives as we lay our lives on the altar.

Miracle Working God

God provides for our every need. He provided the funds for Monte and I to spend almost a month in Asia Pacific Theological Seminary (APTS) in Baguio, Philippines in January - February 2023. The residential stay was a requirement that Monte had to fulfill in his PhD studies in APTS. I am thankful for God's open door for me to be with Monte.

God owns the cattle on a thousand hills. He is our source. He never runs out. We are mindful of His abundance.

When we look to the source of all things, our eyes are drawn to His miraculous provision. There is nothing God cannot do.

We lift our eyes and gaze at the vast expanse. God is calling us to trust Him. He is calling us to step into the water. He is calling us to Himself. He is all we ever needed. Our merciful God beckons us to follow Him to the ends of the earth.

As we step out in obedience, God honours our faith. He empowers us to dream big. He inspires faith in us to believe Him for the miraculous.

When God called out to Samuel, he responded immediately.  His ears were attentive to the voice of God.  He was earnestly seeking God.  

Samuel was only around 12 years of age.  No one can limit God, He chooses who He wants.  He can work through grown adults as well as the young.

God is calling out to each one of us today.  He is calling us to Himself.  He is setting us apart.  He is renewing and restoring our broken lives.  He is building a people of  praise and power.

God calls out to us.  He is sensitising our hearts to the promptings of His Spirit.  He is opening our ears to hear the voice of His Spirit.  He is leading us in the power of His Spirit.

We Worship You

This glorious morning, our hearts flow with a good theme.  Our hearts are full because of Your presence in us.
