Prince of Peace

My mum has multiple health challenges for many years now.  On 10 June, we received more news of further health challenges.  My heart was overwhelmed.  Monte and I prayed together and committed her to the Lord.

Recently,  I have a lump on my neck and went to consult the doctor. The doctor ordered for blood test and ultrasound of my thyroid.  On 11 June,  I received word from the doctor that my thyroid ultrasound showed three nodules.  I will be followed up by the specialist on 18 June . Two of the nodules will be biopsied.  I covet your prayer.

The only reason we are still alive is because God has sustained us with His breath.  He is the reason for our existence.  He lives His purposes through each yielded vessels.  He pours His mercy and grace on us lavishly.

Through it all,  God is ever faithful.  God floods my heart with His peace.  Peace that passes understanding. Peace so precious and priceless.  Peace that only His beloved children can understand.  He is the Prince of peace.  He is the everlasting God.  He is God eternal.  He rules and reigns in every broken life.

We  worship You almighty God.  We bow and worship You at Your footstool.  Rain Your love and power on us.  We need You, Lord.

Lover of Our Soul

Lord, You have been gracious to us.  You lavish Your love on us moment by moment.  Nothing can separate us from Your love.  You are with us in the deepest sea. You are with us in the highest mountain.  We will never go anywhere Your presence does not lead us.  Shepherd of our soul, guide us and lead us.  We drink at Your streams.  We feast at Your table.  We rest in Your love.  Lover of our soul, we trust in Your unfailing love.

God is calling His redeemed people to declare the might of His power.  During this pandemic, God will come through for us.  He works on our behalf.  He can do the impossible.  When our eyes are fixed on our maker, the grim and dreadful situations will not paralyze us.  We call on the Lord.  We call on our helper.  We call on our mighty God.  Lord, bring deliverance.  Remove the scourge of this virus.  Bring relief, bring hope, bring courage.  Let Your presence permeate through each of us.  We are the carriers and couriers of Your presence.  Pray through each of us.  Work through each of us.  We trust You with full confidence.  Lord, come in Your power and might.  Come in Your strength and grace.  Move mightily in all the earth.  We declare Your majesty and dominion.  We worship You almighty God.

Gifts of discernment, word of knowledge, healing, prophecy are ways God has chosen to move through us.  Lord, anoint us to be Your extension.  Anoint us from oil from Your presence.  Empower us to move in Your gifts.  Make us Your instrument.  Make us Your vessel.  Make us a channel of Your love and blessings.  Move mightily through each of us.   Our sole desire is to glorify Your name.

Empower Us

The life and light of Christ burst through the broken in spirit.  Seek the Lord and He shall be found.  We find the Lord through the fire.  We find the Lord through the furnace.  We find the Lord in the wilderness.  Speak Lord!  Speak strength and hope into our hearts.  Raise us up to declare the wonder of Your great love.  Empower us to live the dream You have birthed within us.  Move mightily in and through our broken lives. 

Hope Abounds

We hope in You all day long.  We rest in Your love all day long.  We bask in Your presence all day long.  You are the light of life.  You are our only source.  We fear no sudden disaster because Your spirit is with us.  

You cover us with Your abiding presence.  You shield us from seen and unseen danger.  At night, when we lay on heads to rest, there Your sure presence abides with us.  We find rest in our maker.  We live because You sustain us with Your breath and life. 

We Call on You

2020 is a very significant year for all of us.  Covid 19 brought the world to a standstill.  The escalating infection and death toll are the main stay of most countries.

God is calling us to Himself.  He is drawing us to the holy of holies.  He is beckoning us to bow at His feet.  Fear has paralyzed many.  Today,  the Lord calls out to His beloved.  He gives peace, hope and consolation.  He alone can calm our raging nerves.  He alone brings hope and healing in the face of this dark days and hours.  The Lord comes to rescue and deliver us.  He comes with His power and might.

Let us bow humbly before almighty God.  Let us come and intercede and pray for deliverance.  Let us seek the face of God.  Let us love and behold our risen Lord.

Reign in Your power.  Reign in Your glory.  Reign in Your might.

New Growth

Recently,  I planted some peppermint seeds.  A few days later,  baby shoots appeared.  Without the soil, sun and water, this will be next to impossible.

God nurtures and nourishes us with His word and presence.  Growth takes place when we go through challenges and emerge from them through God's divine intervention.  God grows our faith and lead us to trust Him increasingly.  We can never assume that we have reached the pinnacle.  We continue to grow in the Lord daily.  New challenges will come.  God see our authenticity.  He wants our total obedience.  He leads us to uncharted territory to show us His might and glory.  Like these little peppermint shoots, we depend on Him and desperately need His hand of love and covering.  We thrive and persevere to see the image of Christ formed in us.

The Poor in Spirit

Lord, flood our hearts with Your mercy and grace this day.  The poor in spirit shall inherit the earth.  The poor in spirit shall overcome.  The poor in spirit would come before You on bended knees.  Work Your purposes in us.  We are people of hope.  We are people of resurrection power.  We are a people completely surrendered to You.  The poor in spirit will see Your glory.  The poor in spirit will taste Your goodness.  The poor in spirit shall do great exploits for Your glory. 

Faithful God

Today marks the 21st year of our holy matrimony.  God has blessed me with a loving husband.  His support and encouragement brings out a better me.  His love and sacrifice all these years speak of his deep commitment towards me.  His patient love and care flow from his heart.  I love you, Monte!

God has blessed us beyond our wildest imagination.  He has led through an amazing journey to know the depth of His love.  He opens our eyes to see a glimpse of His glory.  We put our complete trust in our maker.  He holds us by the hand and leads us to uncharted territory.  We rest in His love each day.  We cannot live without the Lord.  We are eternally grateful for His faithfulness reaches to the skies.

Merciful Lord

You give us courage and strength to face each new day.  We do not deserve anything but You pour Your grace and mercy on us unceasingly.  You lavish Your love on us extravagantly.  You fill our hearts with Your living hope.  Your abiding presence flood our hearts like a mighty wave.  Merciful Lord!  Wash us with Your word.  Cleanse us with Your fire.  Consume our broken lives.  Set us apart for You.  We long for Your courts.  We cannot live without You. 

Faithful God

Sometime in mid 2018, I was trying to get new reading glasses.  The staff at the optical shop checked my eyes and told me that I had glaucoma.  He advised me to seek medical help as soon as possible. 

Subsequently, I went to the polyclinic and was then referred  to the Singapore National Eye Centre (SNEC).  

On 27 July 2018, I saw the eye specialist at SNEC.  I was examined by the ophthalmologist and laser IRIDOTOMY was done on the same day. I would have had acute angle closure glaucoma if I did nothing.  

I have completely recovered since then. 

God has protected me.  Acute angle closure glaucoma can be potentially dangerous.  It can lead to blindness if it is left unattended. 

Each day we live to see a sign of His goodness.  He watches over us lovingly.  He protects us from seen and unseen danger.  

We are safe and secure in Him.  We rest in His love.  We find hope, solace and strength in our faithful God.

We Glorify Your Name

We were once hopeless, aimless and rootless.  You entered into our broken lives and breathed life into our lifeless bodies.  We live with a destiny and purpose built by Your love.  You are the reason why we rise each day.  You are the reason why life is beautiful.  You are reason why we keep on going.  Eternal God, everlasting Father, the great I am.  We bow, we acknowledge Your lordship.  We declare Your greatness and majesty with every breath we have.  Knowing that You alone sustain us moment by moment, we are eternally grateful.  Our hearts swell in Your mighty presence.  You have made us to glorify Your name.  You have made to worship You.  You have made a people of praise and power.

His Divine Intervention

Each day, God sustains us by the power of His Spirit.  We lean not on our own wisdom.  We lean not on our own understanding.  We trust You alone.  As we make decisions and stand at crossroads.  The Lord directs us to His way and purpose.  We open our hearts to God's full control.  In our crises and dire circumstances, the peace of God reigns.  Nothing can separate us from the love of God.  Waiting and resting in His love open the door for God to move upon our lives. His divine intervention shows His mercy and grace.

You flood our hearts with peace and hope in the midst of the raging sea. You speak words of life into our hearts in moments of utter despair and desolation. 

Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised. We bow down and adore. We declare Your majesty. We proclaim You are Lord. 

Empower Us

You poured in the oil and the wine.  You cleansed our wounds and nursed us back to health.  We were drowning in our sorrow and You lift us up.  We were deep in our despair and You gave us hope to live again.  We were spiraling into chaos and You stepped in to bring peace and order.  Lord, we belong to You.  We thank You for Your divine love.  We thank You for Your divine intervention.  We thank You for Your presence in our lives.  Touch and renew us today.  We lay our lives on Your altar.  Do a deep and a lasting work in our lives.  Spirit of the living God, fall afresh on us.  Empower us to live for You.

We are desperate for You. Pour Your grace and mercy on us.  Draw us by the power of Your Spirit. Spirit of the living God, fall afresh on us.

Manifest Your glory. Show us Your power. Grant us wisdom and insight. Move mightily upon our us. We give You complete control. We acknowledge Your lordship. We bow in humble adoration. We need You desperately. 

We would have despaired had it not been for Your merciful love. Immerse us into Your empowering presence. Lead us to a spacious place. Help us to persevere to the very end. We lean on Your strong arm. Our hearts find rest in You.

Thankful

As the evening closes in, God calls us to Himself.  God's merciful love engulfs us.  He has given us a reason to live.  He has given the purpose to live.  He has given us a living hope.  The mercies of God is new every morning.

Down the corridors of time, men and women pursue God risking life and limbs.  Sacrificing their resources.  Leaving their comfort zones to spread the love of Christ far and wide.  We are the recipients of people who have gone before us.  People who not just share the good news of Jesus with us.  They nurture us in the word and help us to grow and develop.  Everyone of us has someone to thank.  Christian leaders who had sacrificed time, energy and resources to bless us. 

Our Defender

God is our defender. He is the deliverer of the marginalized people in the world. He is a voice for the voiceless. He is our helper. He is our only hope.

He chose to use the five loaves and two fishes of a little boy to perform a miracle. He chose the weakest, the most insignificant people of the land to be part of His miraculous work.  

He works through broken vessels. He works through humble hearts. He works through our vulnerability.

The voiceless, defenseless and powerless people are the people that God's unleashes His power and grace on.  

His heart beats for the poor in spirit. His heart beats for the hungry and deprived. His heart beats for the people who need the touch of His love.

Work through each of us. We offer our lives as a pleasing sacrifice. Make us a channel of Your blessing. Make us an instrument of praise for Your glory.

Surrender

This still and quiet morning is full of Your peace and strength.  Our lives revolves around You.  We surrender.  We bow.  We worship at Your footstool.  Do a deep and a lasting work in us.  Bring us to our knees. Bring us to yield ourselves in Your loving hands.  We offer our lives as a living sacrifice.  We honour You.  We give us glory and praise.  We need You, Lord!

Be Strong and Take Courage

Be strong and take courage. Every trial makes us stronger in the Lord. Every trial makes us more pliable in our Maker's hands. Every trial brings us humbly to our knees.  

God breathes life and hope in us each day. He renews us in His love and lavishes His goodness on us.  

Be strong and take courage. God who begins the work in us will bring it to completion.  

His name is high and lifted up. He is exalted and magnified in our broken lives.  

Spirit of the living God. Have mercy on us and draw us to Yourself. As we lay at Your altar,  consume us with fresh fire. Empower us to live for You.

Expectancy

Lord, we come to You in expectancy.  Expecting Your wonder working power.  Expecting a sign of Your goodness.  Expecting the move of Your spirit.  

Come Immanuel.  Come and abide in us.  Show us Your grace.  Show us Your power.  Show us Your love.  

Our hearts are bursting with hope and optimism.  We put our trust in You. 

Jesus, Jesus, Jesus

We face tough challenges throughout our lifetime. God uses these moments to do a deeper work in our hearts.  

We are in the loving hands of our Maker. As we yield to the work of His spirit, God will work through us in greater dimensions.  

He sharpens our ability to hear and respond to Him. As we step out in obedience, the Lord blesses and anoints us.

In the dark days of trials, we often feel engulfed and overwhelmed. In moments like these, we cry out to the Lord, "Jesus! Jesus! Jesus!".  

We do not know the way out of our situations. God steps in and leads us by the hand. He opens our eyes to see. He opens our ears to hear. He opens our hearts to understand. He is our Waymaker.

He opens pathways and roads for us. He speaks words of strength and comfort. He gives us undying hope. 

We can never live without the Lord. He is our only source. He is our only hope. He is our helper. He is everlasting God.

As God softens our hearts, He begins to pour more of Himself into our lives. We become more pliable in His hands. We yield to the work of His Spirit. He brings transformation in our lives.

The Lord floods our hearts with His presence and love. He unleashes His supernatural power on us. He opens our eyes to see a glimpse of His glory.

Today is Monte's birthday. God has blessed me with a loving and wonderful husband. I have spent the best years of my life with Monte.  He loves the Lord with all of his heart. 

God has poured His grace and mercy on us. He has led us to mountain tops and deep valleys. We have gone through deep anguish and great release. We have tasted the goodness of God. We have felt His tender mercies.

Monte inspires me to pursue the Lord at all cost. He supports me to develop in every area of my life. He loves me deeply and strongly.  I always feel that a lifetime is too short for us to live as husband and wife. Each day, we are discovering each other. Each day, we are immersed in the river that God wants us to swim. He wants us to trust Him for the miraculous. God shows us that His faithfulness reaches to the sky. As we trust Him with no reservation, He leads us to places we have never ever dreamed of venturing.

Willing Vessels

God is looking for someone who has a broken and a contrite spirit.  He is looking for people with broken hearts, broken dreams and broken lives.  

He stands ready with His chisels, hammers and grinders.  Every broken and vulnerable person who has journeyed with the Lord is a perfect candidate.  

God in His mercy and love, works tirelessly to show us that He is actively involved in every facet of our lives.  

He orchestrates circumstances to work His purposes through us.  

As we yield to the Lord, we find rest.  We find liberty.  We find hope.  Because of His love for us, He will do everything He can to see His destiny and plan fulfilled in us.  

We have a living hope.  We have a loving Father.  We have eternity in our hearts.  We persevere in hard times lavished by the power and love of our everlasting God.  We come before God as willing and vulnerable vessels.
