A Pure Heart

The psalmist David submitted himself fully to God. When his sin was exposed, he did not attempt to defend himself. He made no excuse for his wrongdoings. He went before God and repented. The contriteness of his heart and spirit drew him closer to God. He was pliable in the hand of the living God. God restored and renewed David and gave him hope.

A Pure Heart

A pure heart that’s what I long for
A heart that follows hard after Thee
A pure heart that’s what I long for
A heart that follows hard after Thee

A heart that hides Your Word
So that sin will not come in
A heart that’s undivided
But one You rule and reign
A heart that beats compassion
That pleases You my Lord
A sweet aroma of worship
That rises to Your throne
