On 31 December 2012 , the Strait's Times featured a segment
on New Year, New Start. Ms Goh Kai Sin, a 31 year old teacher who is
expecting her second child has this to say "In a materialistic, face-paced
society where people want a big house or car, it's easy to lose focus because
of peer pressure. I don't want my children to be so caught up in the rat race
that they forget what is important, for example, being near to God, the
importance of family ties and being passionate about their interests."
