Flow through Us

People size us up at the first meeting. The type of housing, the mode of transport, our careers and social standing determine where we are in life. The world system and values have infiltrated into our lives subtlety, so much so that some of us may only want to relate to people who are rich, famous, and intelligent, and very often with people of high social standing. The world has crept into the church. This is not a new phenomenon, but it has deteriorated further over time. Damaging the very core of what the love of Christ stands for.

Jesus set us an example in His life and ministry. He related with people no matter who they were or what they possessed. He sought out people who were on the fringe, the outcast, the poor and the needy. In fact, He put His reputation at risk when He reached out to them in love.

Lord, fill our hearts with passion and love to touch the lowest people in the land that You have placed us. We are the beacon of light to respond to the cry of the needy. We avail ourselves to be Your extended hand. We want to be a vessel of love for Your love to flow through.
