Captured by His Love

God awakens us each day to His love. Our hearts beat with joy and anticipation because we have an awesome privilege of journeying with our maker and master this new day. We burst forth with strength and vitality because He strengthens our feeble limbs and set us on an amazing journey of love. When we are captured by His love, our life and perspective has its bearing on things that are eternal. Our focus on the lover of our soul sharpens as we pursue the Lord with wholehearted devotion and abandonment. Lost in His love, we bask in His presence longing for more of Him because He alone can satisfy us.

Wonderful Kids

Yesterday morning, I was conducting a Public Speaking class to Primary five students at a reputable school in Seng Kang. I was greatly encouraged by their enthusiasm and participation. They were such wonderful kids.

I thank God for allowing me to be an enrichment trainer. There is never a dull moment. Children are reciprocal; they are relatable and very engaging. I look forward to see them for the subsequent sessions.

Life is Beautiful

Life is beautiful not because of temporal things we possess. It is not because of our achievements and status. Life is beautiful because we have Jesus. The presence of God is all we need in this present life. Only His presence can fill the void deep within the depth of our heart and spirit. As the Lord leads us deeper into His divine presence, we experience full liberty and wholeness. His powerful presence expels all our bondages so that we can be set free to worship the living God. He comes in His awesome power and brings us to our knees in humble adoration as we declare His Lordship over us. We have every reason to live life to the fullest because He has made all things beautiful.

He Watches Over Us

Monte's parents and mine are in their golden years now. Our mothers are in their mid 60s and our fathers in their early 70s. God has blessed us with wonderful parents. They never fail to encourage and look after our needs though we are both over grown adults.

Our parents face health challenges and we daily bring them before the Lord. Often times, our mothers have to manage pain from arthritis or muscle ache which leave them with sleepless nights. Osteoporosis makes a fall deadly because their bones have become brittle.

We commit our parents to the Lord in prayer as often as we can. And Jesus is as near as the mention of His name for as we uphold our parents to the Lord, He watches over our loved ones. We continue to rely on Him to cover and protect them at all times. We love and appreciate our parents deeply.

That Special Day

Valentine’s Day is a very significant day for Monte and I because we started our courtship on Valentine's Day in 1998. We have never looked back since that special day. It brought back beautiful memories of our love. Those were the days of sweaty palms when we held hands probably because we were nervous.

Monte proposed to me and we tied the knot in March 1999. The rest is history. We thank God for each other. “Two is better than one”. We have gone through thick and thin together. Loving, believing, supporting, trusting, encouraging and spurring each other on to love Jesus are some of the important pillars of marriage. We continue to live in the glory of His grace in the household of faith for the praise of His glory.

Because of who You are, we can stand strong and tall. Because of who You are, we have reason to live each day with expectancy. Let Your praise saturate us through and through.

We proclaim the glory of the Lord in all the earth. For God is awesome, He is greatly to be worshipped and adored. Listening to this song brought back so many fond memories of the musicals I sang in at Calvary Charismatic Centre (currently known as Victory Family Centre). It’s sheer pure nostalgia.

Happy Birthday, Monte

Today is Monte’s birthday. I have been blessed with a wonderful husband. He constantly encourages and challenges me to reach my fullest potential in every area of my life. I thank God for allowing me to share my life with him.

Our journey together has been so rich. God leads us daily by His love and grace. He pours His mercy and tender lovingkindness into our lives. We can only go as far as He allows us to venture. Every new day is a day of new beginning, a day of hope and possibilities. As we give each day to our Master, He never fails to show us His faithfulness and grace.

Tough Times Does Not Diminish the Presence of God

Someone once said that “Tough Times Does Not Diminish the Presence of God”. On the contrary, in challenging times, we persevere and trust God to perform a miracle. We cry out to God in desperation because we know that until and unless the Lord intervenes in our precarious situations, we are doomed.

The mighty presence of God is felt by those who call on the name of Jesus. The unseen hand of God reaches out to us amazingly in His deep desire to rescue and help us in our time of need. Nothing this world can ever offer can replace the awesome presence of our great God. As God pours forth His Spirit into our lives, we experience wholeness, healing and strength. Lord, come like a mighty river and wash over us till we are completely immersed in the river of Your Spirit.
